Sewing Instructions Block One 1. Place (1) 3 ⅞ Fabric E square on top of (1) 3 ⅞ Fabric square, right sides together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the top square (Fig. 1). Sew ¼ away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 1). Cut the two squares apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 2) to make (2) E units (Fig. 3). Trim the E units to measure 3 ½ square. Repeat to make (60) E units total. Page 2 7. Follow Figure 9 and sew (4) E units, (4) side units and (1) pinwheel square together to make (1) Block One. Repeat to make (15) Block Ones total. Repeat Step 1 using (30) 4 ⅞ Fabric square and (30) 4 ⅞ Fabric squares to make (60) 4 ½ units (Fig. 10). 9. Place (1) 2 ½ Fabric square on the bottom right corner of (1) unit, right sides together (Fig. 11). Sew across the diagonal of the smaller square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 11). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 12). Sew the two triangles together along the left side. Press the smaller triangle open. 11. Place (1) Fabric D - Template Three triangle on top of the Fabric -Template Two triangle, right sides together, aligning the right sides (Fig. 14). Sew (3) Block Ones and (2) Block Twos together, alternating them, to make Row One. Repeat to make Rows Three and Five. 16. Sew (3) Block Twos and (2) Block Ones together, alternating them, to make Row Two. Repeat to make Rows Four and Six. 17. Sew the six rows together, in numerical order, to make the quilt top. 18. Sew (1) 5 ½ x 72 ½ Fabric strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 5 ½ x 70 ½ Fabric strip to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top. 19. Layer and quilt as desired. 20. Sew the (8) 2 ½ x WOF Fabric D strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press. 21. Bind as desired.
