O A K G R O V E How to Log on to the Infinite Campus System In order to input any data into the Infinite Campus(IC) database, one must sign on to the system first. T he first step to inputting any information into the database is to log into the Infinite Campus online system. In order to do this, a browser must be opened and the website address must be typed in the address bar. Figure 1 The website address is: https://infinitecampus.ogsd.k12.ca.us/campus/oakgrove.jsp?status=logoff Once on the website, enter your username and password. If you do not have a username and password, contact the IT department to setup an account. Once you have signed on to the system, you will see the following window: 1
Figure 2 This is the main window to the system. From here you can get to all the components of the database. By clicking on the + signs, you open each category. Adding a Student Record To add a student to the database, complete the following steps: 1. Click on the Census tab. 2. Click on the Add Person tab. A new window will display. Input the student s last and first name. The system will search the database to confirm that the student is not in the system already. If a student is not in the system, Create New Person tab must be clicked. 2

4. Press Save when completed. 5. When the student record has been created, you will need to open the record to add additional information. To open the student Demographic record, click on the student link. Click on the student s name Figure 5 6. When the students Demographic record opens, add the following information and then save the record: Figure 6 4
Adding a Parent Record To add a parent to the database, complete the following steps: 1. Click on the Census tab. 2. Click on the Add Person tab. A new window will display. Input the parent s last and first name. The system will search the database to confirm that the parent is not in the system already. If a parent is not in the system, Create New Person tab must be clicked. If the parent is in the systems, see Add Address Record. Figure 6 3. Add gender to the record and save. 4. Add the parent s phone numbers to the Demographic record. Adding an Address Record Figure 8 To add an address to the database, complete the following steps: 5. Click on the Census tab. 6. Click on the Add Address tab. A new window will display. Enter the house number and press Search. If the results show the address then you do not need to do anything else. If the address does not show in the results, press New Address. Figure 9 6

Assembling a Household To assemble a household to the database, complete the following steps: 1. Click on the Census tab. 2. Click on the Census Wizard tab. A new window will display. Enter the search criteria in the Census Wizard fields and press Search. When you see your records show up in the left section of the screen, click on the record to send it to the Assembling a New Household window in Census Wizard. Figure 11 3. When all your people records and your address record are in the Assembling a New Household window, press Continue Step 2. 4. Name your household the mother s last name. If there is no mother, use the father s last name or the guardian s last name. Enter the home phone in the Household Phone Number field. Start date all items today and check Mailing for the address. 8
Figure 12 5. When you are finished, press Save & Continue Step 3 6. Only build up the relationships under the student s name. The other areas will automatically fill-in Figure 13 9
7. Enter relationship, start date (use today), seq (emergency contact sequence), guardian, mailing, portal and messenger. Select Save & Done when you have finished. Figure 14 8. The last step is to enroll the student. In the left screen, click on the Enroll as student link under the student s name. When the enrollment tab appears, select New. Enter the following information and choose Save when you are finished. Figure 15 10
