Immunity Testing - Electrostatic Contact Discharge Test No. 1: EN61000-4-2 ed.2 Device Used: SRG200LC Description of Connection: The EUT "2G-2S.0.3.FC-BOX" was connected sequentially from the ports G1 and G2 (1000Base-FX) with EXFO-P1 (1000Base-FX) and from the ports P1 to P3 was connected sequentially through media converter (2G- 1S.1.0) with EXFO-P2 (1000Base-FX). The media converter and EUT were connected with EXFO 1m long SM fiber. The EUT and media converter were connected with 1m long UTP cable. The EUT was separately powered from a 48VDC separate power supply (isolating transformer 230AC / 230AC, 230AC power supply / 42-56VDC). Other device was supplied from an external source. The test was used to demonstrate, resistance to electrostatic discharge. The test demonstrated the resistance to electrostatic discharge. The EUT was separately powered from a 48VDC separate power supply (isolating transformer 230AC / 230AC, 230AC power supply / 42-56VDC). The other equipment was supplied from an external source. For the application interference BURST we used capacitive coupling clamp connected to the coaxial HV output on BURST tester. The length of each test was 60 seconds. - 4 -

Immunity Testing Surge Pulse Test No. 4: EN61000-4-5 ed.2 Device Used: Generator RG451 Description of Connection: The EUT "2G-2S.0.3.FC-BOX" using the same connection scheme as the test "EN61000-4-2 (Test No. 1)". For surge pulse application (SURGE No. 1) with output impedance 42 Ohms we using modified UTP cable connected to the generator (UTP cable with brought-out twist coule for connection to the generátor). Test (1,2) x (PE) / (3,6) x (PE) / (4,5) x (PE) / (7,8) x (PE) / (1,2,3,6,4,5,7,8) x (PE). After surge impulse we controlled the functioning EUT using the auxiliary equipment (EXFO). (SURGE No. 1: level 2 procedure 11 20, level 3 procedure 21 30). Tested ethernet ports P1, P2, P3 are equipped only with low surge protection, thus have been tested only to level 3. The equipment tested was separately powered from a 48VDC separate power supply. We gradually changed position the EUT to the reference surface (0 / 45 / 90 ) during the test.
