Stitch along each edge securing the pockets in place. 4. Mark down the center, and stitch as shown to divide the pockets. 5. Set aside the pocket piece. 6. Snap on your Clear ¼ Piecing Foot w/guide. 7. Piece the bias cut strips for piping end to end to create one long strip. 8. Wrap the bias around the 1mm piping cord. 9. Snap on your Mini Piping Foot. 10. Select a straight stitch. 11. Stitch the piping. 12. Trim the seam allowance to ¼ using your Piping Hot Binding Tool. 13. Stitch piping along one edge of your embroidered front piece. There really isn t a top or bottom to this design, it can sit any way you like. The piping will be the top of the desgin. 14. Press the seam allowance of the piping to the wrong side of the fabric. 15. Place the piped embroidered piece on the bottom of the 9 x 29 gray piece aligning the raw edges. With the Mini Piping Foot still in place, begin stitching 1½ from the raw edge, and stitch in the ditch of the piping stopping 1½ from the edge at the other end to

secure it to the base piece. We will slip the straps into this seam later on each end and finish the stitching then. 16. Snap on your A foot. Stitch close to the raw edge on the other three sides. 17. Stitch piping along the bottom edge of your credit card piece. 18. Press the seam allowance of the piping to the wrong side. 19. Place the credit card piece on the opposite end of the 9 x 29 strip with the pocket tops facing away from the center of the fabric as shown. 20. With the piping foot in place, stitch in the ditch of the piping. 21. Snap on your A Foot. 22. Stitch close to the raw edges on the other three sides to secure the pieces together. 23. On the two cell phone pocket pieces fold right sides together matching the ½ cut edges. This will form the bottom of the pocket. 24. Snap on your Clear ¼ Piecing Foot w/guide. 25. Stitch the seams on both pieces. 26. Snap on your Mini Piping Foot. 27. Stitch mini piping along each edge and across the bottom. 28. Place the two pocket pieces right sides together and stitch across the top and two sides leaving a 3 opening along the center bottom to turn. 29. Turn right side out, press. Insert Steam-A-Seam 2 in the opening and press with steam to fuse. 30. Pin the pocket 1¾ down from the piping separating the embroidered flap from the purse back. The top of the pocket would be towards the embroidered section. Keep the sides straight, giving dimension to the pocket top. 31. Stitch in the ditch of the piping to attach the pocket. 32. Stitch piping along each long edge of the 1 x 44 wide strap piece.

33. Place the piped strap piece right sides together with the 2 x 44 strap piece matching one long edge. 34. Stitch over the previous piping seam attaching the two pieces. 35. Press the raw edge of the piping seam allowance under. 36. Press the piece flat. Both seam allowances should be together in the center as shown. 37. Bring the raw edge around to the front and tuck it under the piping. There should be equal amounts of fabric on each side of the piping. Press. Stitch in the ditch of both piping seams. 38. Slide the strap ends under the embroidered front piece on each end with the strap ⅜ in from each end to allow for seam allowance. 39. Stitch piping all the way around the outer bag piece. To learn to join the piping ends, go to www.husqvarnaviking.com, USA, Tips and Hints. 40. Place the 9 long x 29 wide lining piece right sides together with the outer bag. 41. Stitch over the previous piping stitching line. Leave a 4 opening to turn along the edge by the cell phone pocket. 42. Trim the corners, turn and press. 43. Stitch piping around the 2 x 3 snap tab piece lining. 44. Place the back of the male snap piece as shown and mark to cut the slits. Install the male snap piece. 45. Place the outer and lining snap tab pieces right sides together and stitch, leaving an opening along the edge opposite the snap. 46. Turn and press. Hand sew the opening closed.

47. Place the snap tab on the embroidered purse flap so that the snap is just over the edge. Stitch an X formation as shown, to secure. 48. Install the female snap piece just below the credit card panel as shown. 49. Insert Steam-A-Seam 2 into the opening of the outer and bag lining and press with steam to close the opening. 50. Fold your bag into the finished position and snap the snap. 51. Pin the side seams. 52. Snap on your A foot. 53. Stitch the side seams aligning the edge of the foot with the piping.
