Since than he has worked in both the Life Science and Material S cience businesses of DSM. Pete Vaneste Executive Vice President Taminco Piet Vanneste (48) Executive Vice President Global Manufacturing R&T&D and M&A. Piet Vanneste holds a Master Degree in Chemical Engineering. He started his career at BASF as process engineer and production engineer in the Nitric Acid Production Unites. In 1990, he joined UCB as project and process engineer for several projects. He is responsible for knowledge networking, innovation management and technology management.from 2007-2009 he served additionally as global Vice President for Knowledge, Innovation and Technology at Siemens IT Solutions and Services. Since 2009 he is additionally responsible to build up the knowledge networking for whole Siemens globally, leveraging the innovation potential of Siemens as an Enterprise 2.0. Dr. Heiss received the Eugen-Hartmann-Award 1992 (VDI/VDE), a prize for the best Ph.D. thesis in 1990, and an Austrian Innovation Award for young people in 1988. Since 2007 Michael Heiss is Vice-Chair of the IEEE Technology Management Council Chapter Central Europe. Peter H.M.J. Malaise, Worlwide Concept Manager ECOVER group Peter first joined ECOVER in 1991 as an external consultant. In 1992, he was appointed R&D Manager and, in 1995, appointed Concept Manager, the position in which he currently serves the company. Since 2000, Peter has also been responsible for the development and expansion of ECOVER's concept in the area of professional cleaning for organic farming/processing and the food industry, with the ECOVER PROFESSIONAL range. In 2008, Peter was appointed as ECOVER s representative at The Round Table on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO, www.rspo.org) to help clarify and improve the situation of palm oil production in the world.

Guido H Petit Director of the Alcatel-Lucent Technical Academy Alcatel-Lucent Guido is the Senior Director of the Alcatel-Lucent Technical Academy,a corporate program to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Alcatel-Lucent s technological leadership.as part of the mission of the Academy, he stimulates innovative climates and leadership roles in the innovation process by promoting and sharing best practices across the boundaries of Alcatel-Lucent s organization. He is a member of the Alcatel-Lucent Bell Innovation Board and facilitates the launch and management of Entrepreneurial Boot Camps (EBC) in various Alcatel-Lucent R&D locations. He regularly acts as a coach for EBC teams.guido is passionate about innovation and a true advocate of new business opportunity identification and venture initiatives in Alcatel-Lucent. Senior Director: Research, Innovation and Development Philips is Senior Director of Company Innovation at Philips Design. His primary role is to work with multiple Philips stakeholders to explore future directions for the Philips Strategic Company Innovation program. In his previous role in Philips design as global director of Foresight, Trends and people research, he played a key role in developing the Philips Design Foresight, Trends and people research capabilities and services he studied economics at the University of Frankfurt, Germany. Jordi William Carnes Deputy Mayor of Barcelona Jordi William Carnes is the Deputy Mayor of Barcelona and Town Councillor in-charge of Treasury and Economic Promotion since 2007. He is the President of Barcelona Activa, 22@ and Mercabarna - all of which are municipal companies cater to developing projects and programmes to support entrepreneurship, professional improvement and creation of employment; pioneering a project in transforming 200 hectares of industrial land into an innovative district for intensive knowledge-base activities and; managing the logistics of the city s wholesale market respectively.
