LIMITED LIFETIME CONSUMER WARRANTY WARRANTY The Manufacturer warrants that, for so long as the original purchaser owns the home where this product is installed, this product will be serviceable for use as exterior residential ornamental fencing and the coating will not peel, chip, crack, blister, or flake. This warranty does not apply if this product is installed for commercial use. This warranty does not apply to damage to the product or coating from mishandling, installation or storage which does not comply with applicable instructions, exposure to extreme temperatures (greater than 200 F or less than -50 F), impact, abrasion, exposure to corrosive chemicals, misuse, acts of God, or normal wear and tear. This warranty is not transferable. SCOPE OF WARRANTY The Manufacturer will either repair or replace non-conforming product or component, at its option; it will not however, pay for the costs of labor to remove or replace the non-conforming product or component. THERE ARE NO OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING OTHER WARRANTIES OF MER- CHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Aluminum Fence Install Required Tools Hammer, tape measure, mason s string, wood stakes, shovel, post hole digger, wheel barrow, electric drill, Phillips screwdriver, wood blocks, adjustable wrench, hack saw, jig saw or hand held band saw. 1. Plan Your Design Decide on your layout, remembering that the posts are set 72-½ on center. Stake perimeter off with stakes and mason s string to keep posts in line while installing. 2. Choosing Posts Determine correct posts for use: line post, end/gate post or corner post. NOTE: Fence should have a 2 gap at bottom to allow for lawn maintenance. 3. Dig Post Holes Dig holes approximately 8 in diameter and about 24 deep. Depths may vary by local building codes and geographic locations. Mark the ground line on the post with chalk for proper height placement. Corner Post End Post NOTE: Please read all instructions carefully before beginning installation. Fig 1. Fig 2. TIP: Dig holes slightly less than full depth and using hammer and block of wood, drive post into ground the last few inches insuring proper depth and then hold panels upright before pouring concrete into holes. 4. Layout Gate Opening Posts for gate opening inside to inside, should be set 1 wider than the actual gate width, allowing for hinge and latch attachment. Dig holes as noted in step 3, inset posts, plumb and pour concrete, allowing concrete to cure before installing gate. TIP: Make sure gate/end post have holes aligned properly to have fence panel inserted in the correct direction to complete installation. 5. Panel Install Lay the first panel on ground, place posts on ends of all rails and insure that the post is pushed up to the notched portion of the rail for proper positioning. Secure the panels and posts together by using self-tapping screws (included with posts) approximately 3/8 from the edge of the post. Place assembled panel and post in post holes and continue to loose assemble the fence according to your layout. Once all panels are in place and posts are plumbed, pour concrete into each hole. Allow enough to trowel the top so that it slopes away from the post for water to run off. Fig 4. Line Post Fig 3. Fig 6. Fig 5.
6. Corners When installing a corner, a corner post must be used. Cut 45 angles in the ends of the panel rails. Use self-tapping screws to secure. Use a hacksaw, jigsaw or hand held band saw to make the cuts. Fig 7. 7. Short Panels Post spans shorter than 72-1/2 on center require cut panels. Determine the distance between inside of posts and then add 1-1/2 to get the full panel width. To keep equal end spacing of pickets, it may require cutting both ends. Use a hacksaw, jigsaw or hand held band saw to make the cuts. The notches need to be cut into newly cut ends. Use factory ends as a guide. Install panels as in step 5, using self-tapping screws to secure posts, insert into holes and pour concrete to complete. Fig 8. Cut Cut 8. Install Gate Start by planning the swing of the gate. Align the opened hinge so that the L-bracket will fit on the gate and the flat half of the bracket will attach to the end/gate post. Positioning hinges so that they are approximately 8 from the top and bottom of the gate panel. Start by installing hinges to end/gate post, opening the hinge and pushing fully against stop, keeping flush and attach to the post using 3 self-tapping screws (included w/ gate). Next, hold gate in position so that the gate panel top rail aligns evenly with the fence panel top rail, then position the gate into the L-bracket of the hinge and attach with 4 self-tapping screws. NOTE: Be sure to check local codes for any gate opening requirements, especially when enclosing a pool. Fig 9. Fig 10. 9. Inclines/ Hills Most fence panels rack to contour to the angle of the ground. The pickets remain vertical. The panel is racked by holding the bottom of the panel in place and then pushing the top either left or right. It is recommended not to exceed more than a 16 rise in the ground over a 6 panel. Posts are set similar to Step 3. Damaged or missing parts?
