4 5 OUR HISTORY

OUR HISTORY 6 In 1973, Emília and Alberto Figueiredo started up a small textile business. Now, just a few decades later, the IMPETUS Group has become one of the world s leading textile companies. Six people, four machines and a family dream formed the launch pad for an industrial and commercial presence that is truly global in reach. Driven by almost half a century of experience and a commitment to customers and the community alike, the IMPETUS management team is still solidly family-based, thanks to the continuity provided by a new generation that believes in the same values. 7

VERTICAL STRUCTURE 10 IMPETUS boasts one of Europe s most complete vertically integrated structures, underpinned by a number of departments, including R&D and Logistics. This structure has been fine-tuned to ensure we deliver the highest quality of service to our customers. Although IMPETUS started out by making underwear and loungewear, the experience and know-how we have acquired along the years, together with our significant investment in new technologies, has allowed us to expand into a broad range of technical products, such as workwear and sportswear, in both cut & sew and seamless. 11

12 RESEARCH & 13 DEVELOPMENT

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT 14 15 Our R&D department has a team of 20 specialists determined to turn our clients dreams into products. The team researches and develops a broad range of tailor-made solutions, which they then craft into state-of-the-art seamless and cut & sew products. In addition to our own research team, IMPETUS also cooperates with various universities and technology centers in northern Portugal s Euro-cluster - one of the most advanced in the European textile industry.

16 COMMERCIAL 17 DEPARTMENT

COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT 18 19 The Commercial Department is staffed by highly experienced multidisciplinary teams that work closely with our customers. The teams shadow customer processes to assure requirements are precisely fulfilled and the appropriate technical support is delivered. This focus on service excellence has allowed IMPETUS to develop solid and long-lasting relations with many of the major international sportswear, underwear and workwear brands.

20 MARKETING & 21 COMMUNICATION

MARKETING & COMMUNICATION 22 23 Our Marketing and Communication team concentrates on delivering the latest and most innovative solutions to our customers and our own brands, by offering services that range from brand design and management through to packaging, advertising and POS marketing.

24 25 KNITTING

CIRCULAR KNITTING 26 27 Our knitting facilities and fabrics are defined by their variety, versatility, high quality yarns, latest generation technology and strict controls. Our annual capacity of 1,800,000 kg means we can offer our customers a wide spectrum of possibilities.

SEAMLESS KNITTING 28 29 IMPETUS is the biggest and most advanced Portuguese producer in the sector, and one of the best known in Europe, thanks to our investment in a broad range and significant number of seamless looms, which are capable of producing more than 3,700,000 garments per year. Our implementation of the know-how we have acquired over the years has made us one of the leading specialists when it comes to technical product development.

30 ELASTICS 31 WEAVING

ELASTICS WEAVING 32 33 We have the right number of machines and the know-how required to develop a wide range of elastics, assure quality and innovate continuously. As this process is internally installed, we are able to ensure we have the necessary flexibility for an annual capacity of 125,000 kg.

34 35 DYEING

CONTINUOUS DYEING 36 37 Our 38 machines can handle loads from 5 to 1,000 kg, to give an annual capacity of 4,900,000 kg. We dye all types of raw materials cotton, linen, wool, silk, viscose, modal, lyocell, acetate, triacetate, polyamide, polyester, polypropylene, acrylics, etc. in knitted or fine woven fabrics.

GARMENT DYEING 38 39 Our garment dye department is equipped with 12 cutting-edge machines capable of dyeing a wide range of raw materials. As flexibility is one of our key concerns, this department was equipped with machines that can handle loads of between 5 and 100 kg, to give an annual production capacity of 270,000 kg.

40 41 PRINTING

DIGITAL PRINTING 42 43 Equipped with the latest generation of digital printing machines, this department has an annual capacity of 1,500,000 metres. We can print disperse or reactive knitted and woven fabrics directly on the substrate, whilst assuring excellent resolution and high quality and reliability.

CONVENTIONAL PRINTING 44 45 This department is equipped with 3 rotary machines with an annual capacity of 6,100,000 metres. These can print on all types of raw materials using conventional printing techniques, including reactive, discharge, pigment, disperse, acid, burnout, glitter, wet effect.

46 47 FINISHING

FINISHING 48 49 New trends mean ongoing change and new requests for this production sector. As result of this, we made sure the department was capable of performing all types of functional finishing, including hydrophilic, hydrophobic, temperature regulation (PCM), cool touch and healthy finishes, among others.

50 51 QUALITY LABS

QUALITY LABS 52 53 Our 50-strong quality assurance team focuses on assuring maximum uniformity in our production chain and meeting our customers requirements. All our fabrics, elastics, accessories and finished garments are submitted to thorough physical and chemical testing at each stage of production, either in our labs or through certified external entities. As a result, our products and processes comply with the most advanced quality certifications, including Oeko-Tex Standard 100, ISO 9001, GOTS, ISO 13485.

54 CAD/CAM 55 CUTTING

CAD/CAM CUTTING 56 57 The fully automated CAD/CAM cutting department has 4 cutting stations and a team that works on optimizing consumption, so as to reduce production costs and enhance our environmental performance by cutting wastage.

58 SEWING & 59 BONDING

SEWING & BONDING 60 61 We rely on a range of manufacturing machines - from the traditional overlock and most recent flat-lock through to the most advanced ultrasonic and bonding machines. Together, these machines can produce more than 9,000,000 products per year whilst assuring quality.

62 63 LOGISTICS

LOGISTICS 64 65 Our fully automated pick & pack warehouses are able to efficiently fill our customer s orders and also offer integrated EDI systems. Thanks to our storage capacity, technology and fast response time, we offer our customers a fully integrated service combining stock, pick & pack and logistics.

66 ENVIRONMENTAL 67 RESPONSIBILITY

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY 68 All our production processes are specifically designed and executed in such a way as to reduce our environmental footprint and energy consumption. All our production facilities have built-in water treatment systems, control their gaseous emissions and use biomass to produce hot water. The criteria in our annual investment plan focus on the most efficient machinery and the most environmentally friendly processes. We have installed photovoltaic panels across most of our industrial acreage. We recently switched 80% of our fleet to electric and plug-in hybrid cars that run on energy produced by our solar panels. Our commitment is certified by ISO 14001 and the international Bluesign system. 69

70 SOCIAL 71 COMMITMENT

SOCIAL COMMITMENT 72 Right from the beginning, people have been at the heart of what IMPETUS does. Throughout our history, we have strived to improve the well-being of our employees and our host communities. The way we do social responsibility is seen as something of a paradigm by the wider textile industry. Our initiatives in this area include study grants for our employees, scholarships and summer internships for their children, labour gymnastics classes, support for various social institutions and employee transport, amongst many others. This effort has been recognized in the form of SA8000 certification, the leading social certification standard for factories and organizations across the globe. 73
