(Somerset Court Judicials, 1734-1736, pp.286-287: The land where the Negros Lived... called Tony's Vineyard, was recalled by one Peter Sermon (aged about 64 years) in September 1736, when he made a deposition in relation to the boundaries of the tract called Tony's Vineyard on Wicomico Creek, which had been bought by the Reverend Alexander Adams. Sermon testified that he heard John Cassadow [John Cassagh, Cazara?] say that he had marked a tree, or saw it marked, as a bounder of the land that did belong to the Negroes or was their division tree between their land and Horsey's Chance [which belonged to Stephen Horsey].)
