We currently offer the following: Performing Engineering Operations Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering The programme includes using and interpreting engineering data and operating CNC machines. Fabrication and Welding The programme includes fabrication and welding, manual welding techniques, thermal cutting techniques and understanding Computer Aided Drawing (CAD). This incentive ranges from 250 to 1,500 depending on the complexity and level of apprenticeship There is reduced funding for those apprentices aged 25+.

Level 2 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair & Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair in Vehicle combines the practical hands-on experience of the workplace with the knowledge and understanding and practical skills gained in the college classroom and workshops. The apprenticeship also permits various pathways that include Heavy Vehicle & Auto- Electrics. What will the trainee study? NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Employee Rights and and ICT (if applicable). IMIAL NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle / NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair units of study include: Level 2 involves working on light vehicles not exceeding 7.5 tonnes. Units studied may include: carrying out routine vehicle maintenance, fault finding, rectifying simple system faults by replacing and testing components and units and inspecting vehicles. No matter what apprenticeship they choose, your apprentice must complete a Level 2 and/or Level 3 apprenticeship qualification.level 2 is the first level and the one that most new apprentices choose.in respect of Level 3, they can either progress from Level 2 to Level 3 or go straight in at this higher level, depending on their ability and the qualifications they already have. Level 3 requires higher level qualifications to be achieved. How long does an apprenticeship take? It usually takes up to two years to complete one level and up to four years to complete the two levels depending on their complexity; however they can be completed more quickly depending on the ability of the apprentice. Key Features of ApprenticeshipsNI ApprenticeshipsNI is funded by the Department for Employment and Learning, and part financed by the European Social Fund: Are open to all people age 16-24 in permanent remunerative employment (a minimum of 21 contracted hours per week with one employer, including day release) from day one who have reached the minimum school leaving age, and who meet the entry requirements set out by the sector; Are open to both new and existing employees who meet the entry criteria. Are a series of planned on- and off- the-job training and development activities; Lead to an externally accredited Vocational Competence (VCQ) at Level 2/3. Lead to a Vocational Related (VRQ), where appropriate to the Apprenticeship Framework in question. Build upon the basic general competencies such as Essential Skills, in Application of Number, Communication and ICT, the latter, where appropriate to the Apprenticeship Framework; Are industry-driven and designed to be relevant to the needs of each occupational sector; and Enable apprentices to acquire high level technical, administrative and first line management skills. Employer incentives are available from 250 to 1500 if the Apprentice successfully achieves the Apprenticeship at Level 2 and/or Level 3 within the stipulated timeframe.
