- 5 - Declaration of Interest Action by The Chairman invited Members to declare conflict of interest, if any, arising from the agenda items of, or discussion at, the meeting. There was no declaration from Members. Welcome Remarks 2. The Chairman extended a warm welcome to Mrs Ann KUNG, Mr Daniel LAM and Ms Lisa LAU who joined the Hospital Authority (HA) Board on 1 December 2016 and attended the Administrative and Operational Meeting (AOM) for the first time. 3. The Chairman also welcomed the four sit-in colleagues, who were attachees from the Medical, Allied Health and Administrative disciplines under the Corporate Development Programme of HA Head Office (HO). Confirmation of Minutes 4. The draft minutes of the last AOM held on 17 November 2016 were confirmed without amendment. Matters Arising 5. There was no outstanding item arising from the minutes of the last meeting. - 6 - Actions in Response to Director of Audit s Report on Drug Management of Hospital Authority (Restricted AOM Paper No.1245) Action by Progress Reports of Committees of the Hospital Authority Board (Restricted AOM Paper No. 1246) 6. The meeting received the progress reports from the Human Resources Committee, Executive Committee, Medical Services Development Committee, Main Tender Board, Supporting Services Development Committee and Public Complaints Committee on their respective meetings conducted in November 2016. (Mr WONG Kwai-huen joined the meeting at this juncture.) Any Other Business Senior Executive Appointments 7. Members noted the following appointments of senior executives: (a) (b) (c) Mr Wilson TAI ( 戴威信先生 ) as Chief Manager (Financial Control & Operation) of Finance Division with effect from 15 February 2017; Dr Vivien CHUANG Wai-man ( 莊慧敏醫生 ), currently Senior Manager (Infection, Emergency & Contingency) [SM(IEC)] / Associate Consultant (Chief Infection Control Officer Office) of Quality & Safety Division, as Deputising Chief Manager (Infection, Emergency & Contingency) [CM(IEC)] from 1 December 2016 to 30 March 2017; and Mr Andy KUNG Chak-man ( 龔澤民先生 ) currently SM(IEC), as Deputising CM(IEC) from 1 April 2017 to 30 June 2017. Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants Award 8. Members were informed that HA recently received the Award for Website Corporate Governance Information in the Best Corporate Governance Awards 2016 organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, in recognition of HA s corporate website in terms of its high transparency, clear and easy
- 7 - navigation of information and the variety of languages available for key information. HA was the only public organisation awarded for this achievement in 2016. Action by HA New Year Run 2017 9. The Chairman appealed to Members support and participation in the HA New Year Run 2017 to be held on Sunday 5 February 2017 at the Prince of Wales Hospital. The Run would raise fund for the HA Charitable Foundation for the benefit of patients with chronic illnesses through funding support to programmes to be organised by patient groups and patient resources centres. Date of Next Meeting 10. The next AOM was scheduled for Thursday 19 January 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in the Conference Hall, HA Building. 11.
