Where else can people step from ancient Babylon to an early Christian church? Where else can they visit an Iraqi Chaldean village, then journey to America with pioneering immigrants? Where else can they discover the diverse, dynamic lives of Chaldeans today? Nowhere else. With your help, the Chaldean Cultural Center will blossom as a unique cultural and educational resource. JOIN WITH US

Our Mission The Chaldean Cultural Center celebrates and explores the extraordinary history, arts, traditions, and contributions of the Chaldean people from ancient times to the present, serving as a repository of our collected history and stories into the next century. By forging relationships with other educational and cultural institutions, it not only nurtures pride within the Chaldean community, but also promotes greater understanding between communities. Our Center The Center paints a portrait of a people, exploring the history that shaped us, the faith that sustains us, and the lives we lead today. At its heart is an exhibition that takes visitors from the court of Nebuchadnezzar to an immigrant grocery store in Detroit and beyond. Multimedia presentations, sophisticated hands-on activities, artifacts both ancient and modern, and evocative environments will tell a distinctive, engaging, and powerful story.

By developing and building an engaging, enlightening exhibition, we are creating a very special resource for students, families, and all people eager to learn. This will become a place for Chaldeans and visitors of every background to share their stories and experiences to celebrate those qualities and traditions that distinguish each of us and that unite all of us. A Resource for All of Us We re Depending on You There are many ways for everyone to make a difference. Help us Today: Make this ambitious project a reality with a tax-deductible contribution, by underwriting a film, artifact, or gallery, or by donating photos and artifacts. Help us Tomorrow: An estate gift to the Center can ensure the future of our ongoing programs. It s a simple way to leave a lasting legacy for the community. Make A Gift We invite you to become part of the Center and its exhibition. Donations large and small can help us to realize what has become an important dream for Chaldean Americans while adding our distinct voice to the rich cultural choir of the United States. Become a supporter at whatever level is right for you: Friend, Leader, Fellow, Patron Or choose your own level of support. 04 A Resource for All of Us

FRIEND LEADER The Center welcomes four levels of individual support: FRIEND LEADER Stately cedar doors will mark the entrance to the exhibition, imparting a sense of dignity, wonder, and timelessness. The entry is a modern counterpart to the great portals that were the traditional gateways to ancient walled cities. FELLOW PATRON FELLOW PATRON Just outside the doors, at the start of the visitor s voyage, a wall of honor will thank donors like you whose generosity made the exhibition possible. This place of distinction is also a particularly apt spot to laud the Chaldean-American pioneers, a wonderful way to pay tribute to those who laid the foundations of this thriving community. Each plaque will be personalized. Donors can decide how their names will appear and whether to include a salutation such as In Memory of, In Honor of, or The Family of. In addition, a graphic symbol on each plaque, keyed to an elegant panel that thanks our contributors, will identify the donor s level of support. Because space is limited both in the number of plaques on the Wall of Honor and the number of words on each plaque please contact the Chaldean Cultural Center for details. 06 A Place of Honor

BCE, Louvre, Paris, France Leave Your Mark on the Exhibition Artifact Sponsor Your sponsorship can help us acquire an original artifact or museum-quality reproduction. Artifact Donor Contribute artifacts or photographs to the exhibition, either with a direct gift or longterm loan. From a reproduction of the ancient stele bearing the Code of Hammurabi to Church vestments, from colorful village costumes to family photos, artifacts give the exhibition texture and authority. Help us ensure that our collection does justice to our goals and our story. Your name or in memory of will appear alongside the object, recognizing your important contribution. As the Center s exhibition takes shape, we welcome the participation of those able to make a critical difference in taking it from the drawing board to the community. Media Sponsorship The exhibition will feature state-of-the-art media, including film, sophisticated digital effects, computer interactives, and audio. As a media sponsor, your name can be linked to one of these presentations. Gallery Sponsorship Visitors will journey through five distinct galleries, each welcoming them into a different environment: Chaldeans in the Ancient World; Faith & Church; Chaldean Village Life; Journey to America; and Chaldeans Today. Talk to us about sponsoring one of these galleries and about naming opportunities. 08 Leave Your Mark on the Exhibition 09

The Chaldean American story is one of enterprise and entrepreneurship. In less than a century, Chaldean Americans have evolved from a mere handful of pioneers to a thriving, successful, confidant part of the nation. There are an estimated 8,000 Chaldean-owned businesses in Michigan alone. Chaldeans play a vital role in a range of professions. As corporate sponsors of the Cultural Center, businesses can salute the extraordinary role of the Chaldean community and Chaldeanowned businesses. They also can help us to tell a larger, distinctly American story of immigrants, of sacrifice, and of success. Chaldean The Business Community

Media Sponsorship PARTNER BENEFACTOR From films and video to computer interactives, media of all sorts will play a central role in creating a stimulating and captivating visitor experience. Your company can take a lead in bringing this vital component to the exhibition. Gallery Sponsorship The Center welcomes four levels of corporate participation: Patron Sponsor Partner Benefactor Corporate DONOR PANELS, ARTIFACT, Media & Gallery Sponsorship The planned exhibition will fill an important niche in the region s educational and cultural landscape. Working alongside other museums and institutions, it will help all of us understand and appreciate our neighbors. We encourage the involvement of the business and professional community in realizing this unique new resource for the Detroit area. Proclaim your company s support for the Chaldean Cultural Center by attaching your firm s name prominently to an important feature of the exhibition. Sponsoring one of the exhibition s five galleries Chaldeans in the Ancient World, Faith & Church, Chaldean Village Life, Journey to America, and Chaldeans Today illustrates your company s deep commitment to our mission and goals. It also offers a high profile way to showcase your firm s participation. 12 Your Company Can Make a Difference left: Royal Head, perhaps depicting Hammurabi, 1792-1740 BCE, Louvre, Paris, France 13
