COUPLING DECOUPLING NETWORK FOR EMISSION MEASUREMENT (E) The publication of EN 55015, based on CISPR 15 A1 Ed.7, has introduced an independent method of measurement of radio disturbance characteristics of electrical lighting equipment. This method specifies the use of a coupling / decoupling network () as defined in IEC 60--6 for emission measurement in the frequency range 30 to 300. An analysis of results with existing designs showed the need for closer impedance tolerances. A standard working group was founded for improving the design and for transferring the new emissions measuring equipment requirements to CISPR 16-1- and methods to CISPR 16--1. The result describes a specific coupling / decoupling network for emissions (E). In addition to closer tolerances for the asymmetrical impedance, the phase angle, symmetrical impedance and the internal attenuation are also defined. Teseq s E series fulfills these new requirements and offers improved reproducibility for current EN 55015 measurements. type and application Immunity testing Emission testing CISPR 15 Emission testing draft CISPR 16-1- Max. IMPEDANCE STABILIZATION NETWORK (ISN), ASYMMETRIC ARTIFICIAL NET- WORK (AAN) IImpedance stabilization networks (ISN, or with CISPR 16-1- called AAN: asymmetric artificial network) are defined for measuring of conducted common mode disturbances at information technology equipment (ITE) as required in CISPR and CISPR 3. The ISN is placed between the equipment under test (EUT) and auxiliary equipment (AE) or load which are necessary for the operation of the EUT. The ISN establishes the commonmode termination impedance for the EUT s telecommunications port during measurement and emulates the unsymmetrical contribution (longitudinal conversion loss, LCL) of the connected. Different ISNs are available in relation to the category, numbers and pin-arrangement. Further the ISNs (with exception ISN T8) can be used as coupling / decoupling network defined in IEC / EN 60--6 Immunity to conducted disturbances, induced by radio frequency fields. Below is shown a simplified selection chart of testing methods of the CISPR using ISNs / s.
