Artwork Requirements ACCEPTED ARTWORK Adobe Illustrator CS3: Convert all text to outlines and save as an EPS or Illustrator fi le. Freehand 10: Convert all text to paths, and save as an EPS or Freehand fi le. Corel Draw 10: Convert all text to artistic text and save as an EPS or Draw fi le. QuarkXpress 8.02: Should use the collect for output function. All fonts and artwork associated with the fi le should be sent. InDesign CS3: Convert all text to outlines and save as an EPS or InDesign fi le. Photoshop CS3: Photoshop files are not recommended for screen printing. Should only be used for solid black logos and text. Files should be 300 dpi or better and saved as a.tif or.psd file. Four color process fi les can also be saved as an EPS. ART GUIDELINES Vector Art: Must be created in Adobe Illustrator, Freehand or Corel Draw. Fonts: All fonts should be converted to outlines, paths or artistic text. It is best to provide the font files as well, for any changes that may need to be done. All fonts should be Adobe Type 1 Fonts, not True Type Fonts. Typeset Copy: For best screen printing results, fonts no smaller than 5 pt. should be used. Serif and Script fonts are not recommended for small text. Helvetica is the best font to use for small text. Scanned Artwork: Scanned artwork should be at least 600 dpi. When providing artwork to scan, it should be crisp and at least 200% of the original artwork size. Do not staple or fold artwork. Colors: Screen Printing - All colors used should be PMS (Pantone Matching System), Pantone Solid Coated Colors. Four Color Process - All colors used should be 4 color process - CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black). Bleeds: Must leave 1/8 of bleed on all sides, using crop marks for placement. Halftones/Screens: Halftones and screens should be 65 to 85 lines per inch in a density range of 20% to 60% for screen printing. Halftones, screens and gradients will print as a dot pattern with screen printing. Standard line screen for four color process is 133 lines per inch. Design/Text: The design should be 1/16 from the edge of card, unless a bleed is specified. The design and text should also be 1/8 from slots, holes, barcodes, magnetic stripe and thermal printing area.
