The device measures an analog measurement signal and indicates this on the display. The display is connected in a to 20 ma current loop and also derives the required power from the loop. Measurement system The temperature display (RIT 261) consists of two main components: a) The microprocessor controlled display with rear illuminated LCD. The set up for measurement range, decimal point, offset and lock is done either in the factory or in an opened housing using the three push buttons (+, -, E) inside the unit. Set up can be accomplished during operation. b) A temperature transmitter (itemp PCM TMT 181 or itemp HART TMT 182) as a two wire transmitter with an analog output, measurement inputs for resistance thermometers and resistance transmitters in 2- - or -wire connection modes, thermocouples and voltage transmitters. Set up is done either in the factory or using the appropriate configuration kit. Input values Measurement type Measurement range Temperature (linear temperature transmission), resistance and voltage Dependent on the sensor connection, the temperature transmitter monitors various measurement ranges (see chart, top of page ). 2
