PRESENT BUSINESS Isandla Coal Consulting cc Formed in July 1997 as a minerals processing consultancy, specialising in dense medium processes, specialising in coal, iron ore and diamonds and simulation, including the distribution and support of the Excel based LIMN Flowsheet Processor. Clients are numerous, both in South Africa and Worldwide including major mining houses and contractors in consultant and expert witness roles. Work completed has included plant design and commissioning, simulations, feasibilities, audits, studies and equipment evaluations. In addition, customised complex simulations have been carried out for a number of clients to assist in a number of large projects, including chrome, iron ore (including a grade control system for Sishen mine), diamonds and coal. Presently, a dense medium coarse coal washing plant is being installed at the Sharyn Gol Coal mine in Mongolia. In addition, two existing coal retorts are being refurbished and commissioned to produce smokeless fuel for use in the capital, Ulaan Bator as an environmental imperative. There is ongoing development of Limn:The Flowsheet Processor including the Diamond Wizard and Marine Wizard add-ons. Training in simulation using Limn: The Flowsheet Processor is also carried out. The Isandla Coal Consulting cc expertise profile gives some more detail of projects. Isandla Minerals (Pty) Ltd A company recently formed to develop a number of opportunities in coal, adding a great deal of value while benefiting the environment.
