CONTRIBUTORS.France has been one of the major producers of the world s.22s. For some reason France was also a major producer of 6 m/m Flobert cartridges. Perhaps indoor shooting enjoyed a larger degree of use than in the U.S.A. Again, we have a history of mergers which today means fewer manufacturers. THANKS Special thanks to the following collectors for helping me with this project by supplying me with box images and sharing their knowledge. Presented in alphabetical order. Gevelot was founded in 1820. It was combined with Gaupillat to form Gevelot and Gaupillat. In 1894 the name was changed again to Societe Francaise des Munitions.
