This month we ve got all sorts of projects and activities planned in store for you, and we can t wait to hear what you think about them! With papercrafting, mixed media and sewing classes, plus lots for your crafty kids to join in with throughout the month, we hope you ll love the mix of classes on offer! FEBRUARY 2017 PAPERCRAFTING, art & MIXED MEDIA Decopatch Crafting with Zoe Hope Friday 3 rd February 10am - 12pm 15.00 per person Please bring your basic craft kit with you (e.g. craft mat, scissors, etc.) In this class you will have the opportunity to learn an exciting new hobby in which you take a pulpboard/papermache style object and, using deep dyed and glazed tissue paper (decopatch paper), create a colourful and exquisite piece of home decor. Shabby Chic Canvas with Pat Weldon All materials are included in the class cost. Monday 6 th February 10am - 12pm 17.50 per person In this class Pat will teach you to make a beautifully decorated canvas. Using patterned papers, embellishments and mixed media techniques you will create a piece of art to display proudly in your home! All materials included in class cost. Using alcohol markers and Colourblend pencils - the next level Friday 10 th February 10am - 12pm 10.00 per person In this workshop Sandra will show you how to bring depth to artwork using Spectrum Noir coloured pencils and alcohol markers together. As well as learning some new skills you will take away a piece of work suitable for an 8 x8 card topper or put it in a frame and keep it for yourself. Just bring a sense of fun, willingness to have a go and a smile! Cardmaking with Leonie s Mixed Media dies and stamps Friday 10 th February - 1pm - 3pm 15.00* per person Come and make an alternative valentines card with Jan Brown using mixed media dies and stamps by Leonie Pujol. Please bring along your basic tool kit, all other items will be provided. * 5 of the class charge will be donated to the British Heart Foundation as part of our Valentine s event Groovi Art Nouveau coaster and card Sunday 5 th February - 10.45am - 4.15pm 30.00 per person (including lunch) In this workshop Josie Davidson and Chris Walker will show you how to use your groovi plates to make a beautiful coaster and card using the Art nouveau plates. All materials are includes but if you have some basic parchment craft tools then please bring them along. Creating backgrounds with Sandra Rushton Monday 13 th February - 10am - 12pm 10.00 per person In this workshop Sandra will show you how to use Spectrum Noir pencils and markers together to tackle some of the more tricky aspects of colouring backgrounds. As well as learning new skills you ll take away your own sample sheets so that you can build on your technique and use them within your own colouring and crafting projects. Beginners acrylic painting with the Pebeo Range - with Jill Lewis Wednesday 8 th February - 12pm - 4pm 14.50 per person In this class Jill will teach you the basics to creating beautiful floral piece using the pebeo acrylic paints. You will learn the theory of colour mixing, creating your own colour wheel to use at home and in your future projects. Diorama Happy Birthday Card with Nicole Dumbleton Wednesday 15 th February - 1pm - 3pm 10.00 per person In this class Nicole will teach you to make this beautiful diorama card. Using the fabulous create a card dies, co ordinations papers and embellishments. All materials included in class cost. Book folding with Debby Robinson Thursday 16 th February - 1pm - 3pm 12.50 per person Learn a new skill with Debby as she teaches you how to create beautiful items for your home using pre-loved books! Crafting with Colorista stamps Friday 24 th February - 10am - 12pm 10.00 per person In this workshop Sandra will show you how to use the Colorista stamps to create a 3D image that can be used on a card or as a framed picture. As well as learning how to create your own design from the stamps you will also develop your colouring skills using alcohol markers. Suitable for any skill level, Sandra can differentiate content to suit your individual needs. Handbag Gift Bag - Coffee & Craft Morning Monday 27 th February 2.00 per person Come and have a go at making a fabulous handbag gift bag during our Coffee & Craft morning for the British Heart Foundation. Enjoy a cup of coffee and learn a new skill using the Big Score. All materials provided. Create a 3D coloured card Saturday 25 th February - 10am - 12pm 10.00 per person In this workshop Sandra will show you how to colour and make a 3D card and matching envelope using her own artwork, created especially for the class. You will learn how to blend pens and pencils together to add depth to your colouring and then use it to create a matching set to give to that special friend or family member. Whether you re a beginner or wanting some inspiration for taking colouring to the next level, this class is a great starting point. FEBRUARY 2017 sewing & embroidery classes Judy Teddy Bear with Jacky Rawson Tuesday 7 th & Tuesday 21 st February 1pm - 3pm 15.00 per person per class ( 30 total) This two week class is suitable for beginners or maybe you would like to brush up on some old skills. Over the 2 lessons you will learn to make this lovely little bear and her overnight bag. Jacky will inspire you with confidence, tips & techniques for future projects. Please note: You will need a sewing machine. A limited number of machines are available - please call the store to reserve one in advance of your class. For this class you will need to bring your own materials you will need 1/2m bear fabric (linen look cotton), 1/4m cotton for dressing the bear, thread, 1m ribbon and 4 buttons, basic sewing kit with fabric pen or chalk. All other materials will be provided Mr and Mrs Hoot - with Janat Weeks Monday 20 th February 10am - 12pm 10 per person Come along and learn how to make these cute little owls. Janat will walk you through the pattern and teach you the basics to sewing. Great class for beginners or those looking to brush up on old skills! Everything you need is included in the class. Create an embroidered hoop decoration - with Sarah Elliott Thursday 23 rd February 1pm - 3pm 10 per person In this class Sarah will teach you to use the Debbie Shore Flower dies with the Gemini cutting machine to create a beautiful decorative piece for you home. You will also learn basic embroidery stitches to add that extra special touch to your work. All materials are included in the class cost.
