It is strongly recommended to have two persons present when assembling this item. It is recommended if you have purchased a Foldaway kit that includes doors with integrated storage that you unpack and construct the main section first and then construct and attach each door. STEP 1 Attach the casters to the base of the unit (D6-BOT) using screws (35-17D) provided. Make certain to ensure the casters are attached to the correct side of the base as shown below. Insert Cam Locks (CL1) into the four holes shown below. D6-BOT The casters attach to this side of the panel (the side showing the part label) Ensure cam locks are inserted with the small arrow pointing towards the edge of the panel as shown D6-BOT
CB1 STEP 2 CB2 Screw a Cam Bolt (CB1) into each of the 8 holes indicated below with a red circle. Then screw a Mini Cam Bolt (CB2) into each of the 4 holes indicated below by a green circle. Insert Cam Locks (CL1) into the eight holes shown below. screw in to this point D6-LHS D6-RHS STEP 3 AB1 Attach the brackets (AB1) to the left and right hand sides using screws (35-17D) as shown below. D6-RHS Ensure the cam locks (Cl1) are on the bottom of this panel Insert Cam Locks (CL1) into the five holes in this panel. Attach the top and bottom to the right hand side as shown below. Secure by tightening the cam locks in the top and bottom by turning them approx 180 degrees. STEP 4 D6-TOP D6L-BOT IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO LAY THE SIDE FLAT ON THE FLOOR WHEN UNDERTAKING THIS TASK AND THEN SLOT THE SECTIONS ONTO THE PROTRUDING CAM BOLTS
D6-LHS D6-RHS Leave the unit lying on its side on the floor. Attach the left hand side to the unit. Secure by tightening the cam locks in the top and bottom by turning them approx 180 degrees. STEP 5 D6-TOP D6L-BOT
STEP 6 Leave the unit lying on its side on the floor. Fix the brackets that you have already attached to the sides to the base using screws (35-17D) as shown below. M1-PL D6-LHS D6L-BOT STEP 7 Screw cam bolts (CB1) into the 7 holes on the back of the door panel as indicated by a red circle below. Then with the door lying on the floor carefully place the constructed section down onto the protruding cam bolts. Secure by tightening the cam locks in the sides and top by turning them approx 180 degrees. D6-TOP D6L-BOT D6-RHS D6-LHS DOOR
STEP 8 Carefully stand the unit up onto it base\casters. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT THIS IS DONE BY TWO PEOPLE AS IT WILL BE UNSTABLE UNTIL ATTACHED TO THE MAIN SECTION YOU SHOULD HAVE ALREADY CONSTRUCTED. Attach this door section you have just constructed to the main unit using the hinges (H2) and screws (30-15C). Fit door knob (K1) with screw (S30) using pre-drilled hole The main section will vary according to the version you have ordered
STEP 9 Screw a Mini Cam Bolt (CB2) into the two holes indicated D6-DS STEP 10 Place D6-SH into the door section and drop down onto the mini cam bolts already in place. Secure by tightening the cam locks in shelf by turning them approx 180 degrees. Screw a Mini Cam Bolt (CB2) into the two holes indicated below with a red circle STEP 11 Place D6-BCD into the door section and slide across onto the mini cam bolts already in place. Secure by tightening the cam locks in shelf by turning them approx 180 degrees. D6-DS D6-BCD TOP
STEP 12 Attach the bolts (BB1) to the D6-Desk using screws (30-15C) (brass) as indicated below. STEP 13 Attach the Desk Leg to the D6 Desk using bracket (FLB1) and four screws (S15) and one screw (35-15C) D6-DESK D6-DESK
STEP 14 Attach the desk (D6-DESK) to the door section using the two part hinges that are already attached the desk and the shelf (D6-DS). The hinges can be adjusted to ensure the desk is level to the shelf by turning the small adjustment screw clockwise or counter-clockwise. Once in place ensure it is secured with the bolts supplied. D6-DESK IMPORTANT WHEN USING THE DESK ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO HAVE FOLDED OUT THE LEG BEFORE UNDOING THE BOLTS AND FOLDING THE DESK DOWN. FAILURE TO DO THIS MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE HINGES AND THE UNIT
STEP 15 Insert shelf pegs and shelves at appropriate positions in the top and\or bottom sections to suit your choice of storage boxes. Folding Work Desk (adjustable shelves behind can be accessed when the desk is in use)
