Surface preparation and Application For construction applications of 50 x 150 cm or less, (single layer fibre enhanced) must be used and for larger dimensions Kalesinterflex Laminex (double layer laminated) must be used. In compliance with the design prepared, the horizontal supporting joint profiles where the dimensioned Kalesinterflex slabs (50 x 150 cm/free- 33 x 150 cm/free dimension ) will be mounted are fixed with YSB crews on the vertical supporting profiles, at the horizontal axis. Kalesinterflex slabs are mounted on the horizontal supporting joint profiles using polyurethane based adhesives. See Detail A. In an alternative practice, Kalesinterflex slabs (100 x 300 cm etc., Kalesinterflex Laminex of larger dimensions) are mounted, without using horizontal profiles, merely by fixing on vertical profiles with polyurethane based adhesives, to render surfaces in compliance with the details. See Detail B. The back surfaces of the dimensions Kalesinterflex slabs must be meshed or the slabs must be used after being laminated in two layers. Kalekim SeraCare is recommended for Kalesinterflex surface protection. It is useful particularly in rendering the cladding materials resistant against dirt and moss, facilitating future cleaning, and increasing resistance against water, thanks to its water repellent characteristics.
