Listatalo mouldings and panels are manufactured using only the highest quality raw materials. The mouldings and panels are made either of wood or MDF. MDF boards are produced in a dry process. The material used is exclusively wood acquired from raw material saved from forest thinning. MDF boards are mainly pine or Good to know spruce that is refined into fibres. A small amount of adhesive is added to the fibres before pressing them into boards. Our products give your home a finished, impeccable look. Spruce fibres are light yellowish brown, often rather. The spruce panel is finished with, translucent lacquer coating that lightens and freshens up the spruce s shade while maintaining the true look and pattern of the wood. The finishing treatment brings benefit by slowing down the yellowing process and protecting from dirt. The machine handling of spruce wood panels at the factory ensures an even surface quality. A spruce wood panel may characteristically include: knots and a rough planing surface due to them plus knotholes The interlocking wood panels can be nailed or mounted with special fixings. When mounting wider panels, special attention should be given to ensure that the moisture content of the panels is close to the final equilibrium moisture content. A separated interlock or a split board is difficult to fix. 2

It is harder than traditional wood and thus more impact resistant. Due to the slanting edge, the moulding fits tightly to the floor leaving no unnecessary gaps on the floor level. Choosing a moulding When choosing a wider moulding, it is good to check that the mouldings fit in the planned places. Take into consideration the position of the light switch in relation to the doorframe, the space between the windows and the height of the plugs from the floor. 19 19

They are often painted or coated and they also have a tongue and groove at both ends. The MDF panel is of uniform quality and it is easy to install. It is best attached with a pneumatic finish nail gun. In MDF panels, the lower part of the groove is usually designed long enough in order to completely and easily hide the nails when installing. MDF panels can be used in every room of your home except for rooms with high amounts of moisture. They are therefore not suitable for bathrooms and saunas. Due to their dense structure, they are ideal for ceiling heating, because the dense material stores heat and withstands the high temperatures of ceiling heating. The coated MDF panel is not suitable for ceiling heating. 22

With the CE marking, the manufacturer of the product or an authorised representative notifies the authorities that the product meets the essential safety requirements of the directives.
