Converter name MW 3421 Destination Protective and decorative finish for different types of surfaces (metal, wood, indoor walls)m as well as properly prepared. Suitable for the exposure of atmospheric efftects, in marine and light industrial environments. Characteristics VOC (Directive 2004/42/CE) ( g/l ) 10 Excellent weathering resistance High elasticity Excellent brushability and relaxing Excellent brilliance and color retention Abrasion resistance Paintings for finishes and claddigs for iindoor/outdoor for wood, metal and plastic. EU limit value for this product (Cat. A/d): 130 g/l (2010). This product contains max 100 g/l Recommended surface and temperature conditions it is important to apply at T not lower than + C and HR not higher than 6% in order to obtain a good resistance to abrasion and external agents. Verify the surfaces suitability relatively to the humidity degree with match test or hygrometer. WARNING:ventilate the room to avoir humidity acculumation WARNING: tha maximal eashability is obtainable after 710 days m application Avoid applications in presence of artificial condenstaion or under direct action of the sun. Reccomendations Well mix before use. We reccomend to apply the product evenly along the whole painting surface, avoiding to leave uncovered parts m which it could start a deterioration process of the applied cycle film and the support. At application temperatures lower than +1 C it could be necessary to add more solvent to obtain teh desired application viscosity, Too much thinner will lead to a diminution of the sagging resistsance and could bring to defects during the application. High humidity can cause opacification dulling during the application. We recommend the use of soft sponges with neutral detergent to clean the painted surfaces. Avoid using abrasive cloths or rags as well as alcool detergents or any type of solvent. WARNING: for indoor application areate the environment and wear the adequate individual protection instruments The antirustpainted surfaces must be recoated as soon as possible with finish enamels, in order too keep unchanged over time the anticorrosive power of their pigments, which could be considerably reduced for long periods outdoor Page 1/
Application cycle Never painted ferrous metal surfaces Completely remove the possible calamine and rust on the surface through manaual or mechanical cleaning system (brushing St3). Carefully wash with alkaline detergents or with water and soap to remove possible polluting substaces ( do not use any thinner). For the washing operations highpressure cleaner are recommended. Carefully rinse, WARNING:alkaline detergents residual on the surface may jeopardize the success of the painting cycle. Check that the support is perfectly dry. Apply a first coat of D'ECO UNIVERSAL PRIMER for surfaces exposed to the ouside. After at least 12 hours apply 2 coats of D'ECO FINITURA with at least 24 hours interval m each other. On indoor iron surfaces it is possible to directly apply two coats of D'ECO FINITURA without FLASH RUSTING phenomena. Already painted ferrous metal surfaces Cleaning through manual or mechanical system until complete elimination of old painting coats which are not well anchored and of possible rust spots. Roughen the old, well anchored paintings and eliminate the sanding dust. In case of strongly deteriored surfaces we recommend to eliminate the old paintings and the rust caused by sand blasting Sa 2 1/2 or to remove paint and then eliminate the rust through cleaning by manual or mechanical system (brushing ST3). Remove the dust m the surface In case of removing of old paintings up to the ferrous support, follow what is said in "Surfaces in never painted ferrous metal", otherwise do the following: Be sure that the support is completely dry. Apply 2 coats of with ann interval of at least 24 hours m each other. WANING: by particurarly critical situations it is recommended to apply a first coat of D'ECO UNIVERSAL PRIMER. Galvanized surfaces, aluminum and light alloys Carefully clean the surface m possible oxide traces through manual or mechanical cleaning system. Otherwise carefully wash through solution DECAPHOS or alkaline detergents and let it work for a few minutes, then abundant washing for the complete removal of the phosphating and pickilng solution. WARNING: residual of DECAPHOS solution or alkaline detergents on the surface may jeopardize the success of the painting cycle. Check that the support is completely dry. Apply a first coat of D'ECO UNIVERSAL PRIMER for surfaces exposed to the outside. After at least 12 hours apply 2 coats of D'ECO FINITURA with at least 24 hours interval m each other. PVC and ABS surfaces Remove dust m support. Check that the support is perfectly dry. Apply a coat of anticorrosive primer like our ZINCPPLAST 1124. After at least 12 hours apply two coats of Nome Prodotto with a 24 hours interval m each other. Page 2/
Application cycle New or carried forward wood surfaces Lightly sand to remove the raised wood fibers. Remove the possible resin by using adequate thinner. sand the imperfections with synthetic stucco. Sand the stuccoed parts and remove dust. be sure that the wood is not too much wet. On woods at high absorption apply one coat of 3423 D'ECO' IMPREGNANTE to standardise the surface absorptions. WARNING to the treatment of tanninrich woods. In order to reduce dark spots, apply adequate insulating primer. Sand the surfaces and then apply 1 or 2 layers of filling power as our D'ECO' UNIVERSAL PRIMER. After at least 12 hours apply 2 layers of with an interval of at least 24 hours m each other. Painted wood surfaces Sand to remove the raised woob fibers. Remove the bad anchored old paintings layers. Roughen the well anchored old paintings and remove dust. Reomve the possible rsin by using adequate thinner. Fill imperfections with synthetic stucco. Sand the stuccoed parts and remove the dust. Be sure that the wood is not too much wet. Apply 1 or 2 layers of filling primer as our D'ECO' UNIVERSAL PRIMER. After at least 12 hours apply 2 layers of with an interval of at least 24 hours m each other.
