Ruth mainly works on projects targeting energy issues such as demand side management, demand response, smart grids, and sustainable lifestyles. But Ruth has also worked on other technologies such as composite materials, and plastic waste innovations. She has Masters in Anthropology, Sociology, and Society and Technology Studies (STS), and holds a PhD in systemic technological and societal transitions. Previous employers include Maastricht University, Eindhoven Technical University and the Energy research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN).
