CHC i80 GNSS Receiver QuickTour with LandStar7 (PDA Network Mode)
1.Prerequisites Hardware: CHC i80 rover, Controller Kit, SIM card,lithium Battery, pole Software: LandStar7 2.Steps to set i80 working as rover in DCI mode with LandStar7 2.1 Rover installation Insert the SIM card to data collector, screw the rover receiver on the pole, and put the Controller adapter in the right place like the figure. 2.2 Connect Data collector to Internet 1. Please select WiFi or mobile network to access the Internet according to the working condition. Note: If the device connect the internet by WiFi, the connection to the i80 can only by Bluetooth. 2.3 Rover setting in LandStar7 1. Power on the receiver Long press the i80 power button until the green and blue LED lights are on. 2. Launch the LandStar7 software Note: The recommend firmware version of i80 is 1.3.42 or higher. 3. Click [Projects] icon in [Project] menu to create or open a project. choose the coordinate system of the project. 4. Click [New] to create a new project. In the CRS selection menu, please click [Add] button to add pre-define coordinate system in the list. 5. Please type in the project name, the author of the project, which can be left blank, the time zone of working region. Select the Continent and Region according to working area, then find proper Coordinate System to use. Then select the [Coordinate System] to After select Coordinate System, please click i80 GNSS Receiver Quick Tour with LandStar7 (PDA Network Mode) 2
[Select] button to confirm. Then selected coordinate system is available in the pre-define list, please click [Select] button to confirm. 6. Click [OK] button to finish the project setting After that, user can confirm parameters of coordinate system. 7. Click [Config] tab then click [Connect] icon to enter the connection interface. 8. i80 receiver supports two kinds of connection method in LandStar 7: Bluetooth and WiFi. Please select the proper one to connect. (2) Please click [Bluetooth Manager] to search bluetooth device around. If there are several paired bluetooth devices, users can directly select them in list. Bluetooth connection (1) Select [Manufacturer] as CHC, [Device Type] as i80, [Connection Type] as Bluetooth, [Antenna Type] as i80. (3) Switch on the Bluetooth module by the top switch, click [Search for devices] to search the bluetooth device around. Then select the target device in the list. (5) Then the device can be selected in the bluetooth manager list. (4) Please click [Pair] to connect the bluetooth device. (2) Switch on the WiFi module by the top switch, click refresh button to search the hot spot around. Then select the target device in the list. WiFi connection (1) Select [Manufacturer] as CHC, [Device Type] as i80, [Connection Type] as WiFi, [Antenna Type] as i80. Then click the Wireless Lan icon on the right side to select the hot-spot. (3) Please click [Connect] to link to the hot spot. If the first time connection to this hot spot, user may type in the password and the the default password of i80 WiFi is 12345678 i80 GNSS Receiver Quick Tour with LandStar7 (PDA Network Mode) 6

11. Please switch on RTK function, select the work mode as Auto Rover, Datalink as PDA Network, protocol as CORS and type in the corresponding CORS IP and Port. Then click the Download button to get the source table After setting other parameters, please click [Save] button to save the work mode Type in the user name and password for your Ntrip account and please take it in note that the RTCM 1021-1027 messages need to be switched on or off here. 12. A name is necessary for a work mode, user can type in the name as their wish. Then the interface will let user to check CORS information. Users can select source table or switch other Ntrip account here.if all the information is correct, please click [Ok] button. 13. Now, the work mode is available in the list. Please select the work mode then click [Accept] button. 15. Then the green LED will flash and the states will come into [Fix], which means the rover is getting the correction data from base. 16.
