Your guide to the First Response Business Degree Apprenticeship

If so, are you ready to become First Response Finance s next Business Degree Apprentice? Who are First Response Finance? We re an award-winning vehicle finance company, with offices in Nottingham, Manchester and Glasgow. We pride ourselves on our customer service, which is rated 9/10 from customer reviews. So, what will you do as a Business Degree Apprentice? Support our customers through: Building and maintaining wonderful relationships over the phone Optimising administrative functions Ensuring a quick and efficient service Working as a team player alongside the other departments in the business Applying knowledge learnt at University to improve business processes and job roles to be more efficient and effective day to day. Simultaneously achieve a degree in business management to aid not only your future career but also the future of First Response. How will you be supported to achieve your Degree Apprenticeship? You will have: A personal University Mentor whose role is dedicated to ensuring that you excel with the Academic side of your apprenticeship. They will know you personally and will be your go to person for anything to do with university. Your personal First Response Mentor responsible for overseeing your whole apprenticeship, whether you have issues with work, uni or just generally needing someone to talk to. Your peers other apprentices past and present, who will be there to support you drawing on their past experiences. Your line manager welcoming you to and teaching you the First Response way, allowing you to shine in your role.

What will you do at University? When you re at university you will study in block days of around 2-3 days per module. You ll normally attend university every 4-6 weeks and will be given your timetable every September. Don t worry, your line managers at work will be aware of the time you need out of work, and you will be allocated this time throughout your apprenticeship with us. During your time at university it is vital that you make the most of it check out our Youtube channel for advice from our current apprentices. As your assignments are linked directly to the work you are doing, when you get back from University you will arrange meetings with colleagues and mentors, research your chosen topic, write up your report and discuss any issues or concerns you have with your personal mentors. It is important to be organised and use your time efficiently as you will have much less than you may be used to! Year 1 During your time at university, you will study a wide range of Business Modules, this is so that you have a good well rounded knowledge of Business, helping not only you to grow but also allowing you to make improvements to our business Year 3 Ryan, First Response Business Degree Apprentice Year 4 Year 2

What do you get from First Response? Starting Salary: 12,600 Holiday Allowance: 20 days per year plus 8 bank holidays. For each completed year of service, you will receive an additional day of holiday, up to 25 days per year. An additional 5 days of holiday are awarded after the completion of 5 years of service. So, to summarise you re getting: A full university degree A full time role with a UK top 10 employer A competitive salary No student debt Real and challenging work

What you need to apply: 104 UCAS Tariff Points (2017 onwards) BCC at A-Level or Equivalents e.g. BTEC Nationals (Excluding General Studies) Maths and English GCSE Grade C and above You must be at least 18 by the time the apprenticeship starts You must also have the right to work within the UK We re in it for the long term are you? You will be: Tenacious Systematic Driven Curious to keep learning and expanding your skills Responsible for your own work load Capable of juggling a demanding and busy university and work life What will you need to do to get this opportunity? : If you are successful, you will be allocated to the best suited team for you kick starting your exciting journey at First Response.

How to Apply Once you have decided that our Business Degree Apprenticeship Programme is just what you have been looking for, there are a few things you will need to do! Before applying make sure that you have been predicted to have enough UCAS points! We require a minimum of 104 UCAS points for our programme. Unfortunately without these you will not be able to do our Business Degree Apprenticeship. If you re happy that your UCAS points prediction meets our requirements, you can apply at: Time to complete: 5-10 minutes Next you will receive a confirmation email, confirming that we have received your application and that we are currently reviewing it Time to receive this: up to 1 week Once your application has been reviewed, you will be notified by email if you have been successful or not. Time to receive this: up to 1 week If successful you will be invited to take part in some online assessments. Time to receive assessments: up to 1 week after application Time to complete assessments: 15 minutes Response time: up to 3 weeks after submission If you are successful, you will be sent an email asking you to select your preferred dates for an Assessment Day. Please note that you won t be asked for your preferred assessment date until after our Application window is closed. Once we receive your preferred assessment dates we will then email you to confirm your date for assessment. You will be required to confirm if you can attend or not. The Assessment days consist of ability tests, group exercises and individual interview. Response time: up to 1 week You will be notified by email if you have been successful at the Assessment Day stage. Time to receive this: up to 1 week If you are successful, you will then be invited to a Final Interview at our offices. This will take place within a month of your Assessment Day date You ve been successful? Congratulations, this means that you have been offered a place with us on our Degree Apprenticeship programme. One of our team will call you to go through the next steps to join the First Response family. If you were unsuccessful, then don t be disheartened, you are always able to apply again the following year.
