Stp 3: A th Vis Assmblis to th Monitor Brackts: Not: Do not ovrtightn th 1/4-20 Nut (m). Th Vis Assmbly (f) should b abl to rotat frly around th Carriag Bolt (l). Plac th Vis Assmbly (f) btwn th two sids of th Monitor Brackt () so that th two jaws point toward th st of 1 diamtr hols and th alln bolt is facing away from th tlvision. Plac a 2 Carriag Bolt (l) through th squar hol in th sid of th Monitor Brackt, through th hol in th Vis Assmbly, and thn through th squar hol in th othr sid of th Monitor Brackt. Nxt, tightn a 1/4-20 Nut (m) onto th nd of th 2 Carriag bolt. Rpat this stp for th bottom of th Monitor Brackt. Finally, rpat this procss for th scond Monitor Brackt. S Diagram 3 for assistanc. Stp 4b: Attach th Arm Assmbly (Part II) Position th Arm Assmbly (b) so that th hook shapd tab shown in th Dtaild Viw of Diagram 4b is on th top. Lin up th two 1 diamtr hols in th Monitor Brackt () at th othr nd of th Arm Assmbly with th with th 1 Diamtr Tubs (d). Continu to push th 1 Diamtr Tubs through th brackt on th Arm Assmbly and thn through th othr Monitor Brackt. Again, mak sur th Vis Assmblis (f) on both th Arm Assmbly and th scond Monitor Brackt ar orintd so that th 1 Diamtr Tubs will pass btwn th jaws. Onc th 1 Diamtr Tubs ar in plac, tightn th alln bolts on th 4 Vis Assmblis in th two Monitor Brackts with th Alln Ky (k) to lock th tlvision to th mount. Nxt, slid th Arm Assmbly into th dsird position btwn th two Monitor Brackts and tightn th two rmaining Alln Bolts in th Vis Assmblis insid th Arm Assmbly. Tightn Lag Bolts (i) only until th Lag Bolt Washr (j) is pulld firmly against th Wall Plat (a). Th Wall Plat (a) must b mountd to two wood studs at last 12 apart. Us a high quality stud snsor to locat two adjacnt studs. It is a good ida to vrify whr th studs ar locatd with an awl or thin nail. Pr-drill a 2.5 dp hol in ach stud at th dsird hight using a 3/16 drill bit. Mak sur ths hols ar in th cntr ara of th studs and lvl with ach othr. Us th Wall Plat as a tmplat to mark th location of th scond hol in ach stud. Drill 2.5 dp hols using th 3/16 drill bit in ach markd location. Attach th Wall Plat to th wall using four Lag Bolts (i) and four Lag Bolt Washrs (j). Mak sur th Wall Plat is orintd so th flat surfac in th cntr of th plat is against th wall as shown in Diagram 5. Stp 6: Hang th assmbly onto th Wall Plat Warning: This stp may rquir 2 popl to lift th assmbly onto th Wall Plat! Sanus is not rsponsibl for injury or damag. Orint th Arm Assmbly (b) so that th arm xtnds dirctly away from th tlvision and th transfr plat is paralll with th tlvision. Som tlvisions may rquir 2 popl to lift! Lift up th assmbly and hook th transfr plat onto th tab on th top of th Wall Plat (a) as shown in Diagram 6a. Horizontally adjust th transfr plat sid to sid on th Wall Plat until it is in th dsird location. Thrad ach Safty Bolt (n) into on of th two hols in th bottom of th transfr plat and tightn thm so that thy ar bhind th tab on th bottom of th Wall plat as shown in Diagram 6b. Onc th tlvision is mountd onto th Wall Plat (a), and th Safty Bolts (n) ar tight, it can b adjustd to lvl. Slightly loosn th two alln bolts on th back of th Arm Assmbly (b). Onc thos two bolts ar loosnd, th tlvision can b adjustd ±6º until lvl. Whn th tlvision is lvl rtightn th two alln bolts. Th tilt can b adjustd by stting th tnsion of th knobs and tilting th tlvision. Th tnsion nuts labld in Diagram 7 can b slightly loosnd or tightnd to adjust th tnsion of th Arm Assmbly. If you nd to adjust th tnsion nut closst to th TV, you must rmov th safty brackt, adjust th tnsion and r-install th safty brackt as shown in th safty brackt installation viw of Diagram 7. Stp 8: A Prvntor Warning: Watch for Pinch Points. Do not put your hands or fingrs btwn movabl parts! Dtrmin which dirction you want th arm to fold. If you want th arm to fold to th right, plac th Prvntor (c) on th right sid of th Arm Assmbly (b). If you want th arm to fold to th lft, plac th Prvntor on th lft sid of th Arm Assmbly. Position th Prvntor so th flat sid is facing th idlr as shown in th Dtaild Viw of Diagram 8. To attach th Prvntor, plac a Prvntor Bolt (o) through th Prvntor and into th hols in th idlr.
