Sky Net UAS and Drone Defeat

03 DENY THE ENEMY Sky Net is a world-class patented counter drone and UAS technology. Our defeat solution counters enemy systems taking-off many kilometers away. The Sky Net range successfully counters: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) / Drones A UAV is more commonly known as a drone and describes an aircraft without a pilot aboard. It is operated either by a human using a remote control or autonomously by on-board computers. Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) A UAV is a component of an UAS. These include a ground-based controller and a communication system between the two. It does not matter if there is one or a swarm of drones or UAS to counter, as the Sky Net family of products will defeat them all and from an exceptionally impressive distance! Within this brochure we will talk about eliminating UAS; but rest assured the Sky Net range: Longbow, Recurve and Recurve Max removes all drones and UAS from the exclusion zone, that our equipment is programmed to combat.

05 OUTSTANDING PATENTED SOLUTION An enemy UAS is a major threat to many who work in the military, Government, Security, public events and/or are tasked with VIP protection. Typically, Unmanned Aircraft Systems are flown to gather intelligence and drop payloads. Benefit from deploying Sky Net to deny the enemy. Our man-portable solution called Sky Net Recurve Max is pictured across these pages. Protecting within an exclusion zone Kirintec s solution will not allow the UAS to fly close to its destination whenever Sky Net is deployed to protect. The swarm or individual UAS cannot enter what is defined as an exclusion zone. Even if your adversary attempts to send in one-hundred UAS simultaneously to cause harm or gather intelligence to an identified target, not one will come close. This is countering terrorism in an increasingly challenging way on a very impressive scale. Particularly as Sky Net can deny UAS from up to 9km away, as part of an exclusion zone. Understanding the threat In this brochure, you will understand more about C-UAS with Sky Net: Control, video and GPS links Performance Antenna Options: choose a portable, vehicle fitted system - or both Integration Remote Logic Control Communications Through Inhibition (CTI) Contact us Our experts will help you find the best solution to fit your needs. Additionally, if you are interested in arranging a product demonstration after reading on, please get in touch.

07 PROVEN TECHNOLOGY TO DEFEATS UAS THREATS Our technology solution Sky Net is a patented solution eliminating all UAS, UAV/drone threats. Over time, as new threats emerge, Sky Net will continue to defend as it can be easily re-programmed. Kirintec s superior technology is custom-made and responsive to meet your specific requirements. Sky Net creates a unique exclusion zone. Therefore any number of UAS entering an identified zone have their radio links disabled immediately. This means their capability to do harm is deleted and you benefit from being able to keep safe the people, building and/or area you are protecting. Identifying the threat Increasingly since 2004, UAS have been deployed in asymmetric warfare to fulfil a range of objectives. These include intelligence gathering and payload delivery. Arguably advances in technology and improved availability have made the UAS the enemy weapon of choice. There are a number of areas where drones / UAS pose a threat, including for: Military operations Airline safety National security Prison security Border security Personal security VIPs Privacy Civilian safety Defeating the threat Generally, UAS operate with three radio links: Control Video GPS (Global Positioning System) We recommend denying both control and video links, to eliminate UAS payload and intelligence gathering capabilities. However, eliminating the GPS link option will depend on the threat and its context. Trust us to help you determine which option is best for you. In the event that our family of jamming equipment impacts on the ISM radio bands, we offer the option of integrating Sky Net to limit radio frequency communications fracticide. Technology you can trust Our experts can help define your operational aim and advise you on the best solution to counter your threats. Providing you with a unique custom solution, Sky Net will advance your response. Both man-portable () and vehicle-mounted (Longbow) options are available. Typically UAS are used by an enemy for: 1. Surveillance and reconnaissance - such as monitoring troop movements 2. Sight indirect fire 3. Deliver explosives SKY NET LONGBOW AND RECURVE The solution to fit your needs Our Sky Net family of C-UAS jamming solutions Longbow, Recurve and Recurve Max are based on our patented, proven technology to eliminate threats posed by Unmanned Aircraft Systems. Typical drone pilot view, after Sky Net defeats the threat

09 C-UAS CONTROL AND VIDEO LINKS Trust the Sky Net family of jamming Defeat the threat Control and video link standards are often proprietary to the manufacturer, but could use some or all of the following physical layer features: Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) and Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) are used to reduce interference and maintain high transmission stability Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) antenna technology with Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) modulation and advanced algorithms, improve stability of data bandwidth in complex environments and improved overall dynamic performance Near real-time signal system dynamically selects the optimum channel for transmission Ever improving features such as swarm applications and DJI functions such as Tapfly cause additional complications Other Software Development Kits (SDKs) such as Pix4D or DJI Autopilot can be used to further modify the functionality of the UAS. Transmit power levels range from +10dBm (10 mw) to +20dBm (100mW) as standard, but these could be modified to increase power levels. Kirintec outperforms others Radio features combined in this way provide Sky Net family Longbow, - with no performance issue. Our solution outclasses others; providing effective C-UAS defeat. GPS link This is used by the system to provide waypoints, return home or immediate land functionality. Sky Net could cover one or both L1/L2 bands. Enemy UAS is likely to use the more commercially available L1 available (this could leave L2 available and unaffected for military use). Operational considerations Due to the set-up of the target drone being unknown, concentrating on a single link may not achieve operational aims. CHOSE SKY NET: DENY UAS GATHERING INTELLIGENCE AND DELIVERING PAYLOADS It is important to consider the following effects: Link removal Possible effects: Removing the control link only May see the UAS revert to return home mode, it may still have full use of video therefore could continue to gather intelligence UAS may revert to hover in place mode and still have full use of video UAS may crash at an unspecified point. This could be a concern if it has an explosive or chemical payload. Removing the video link only Would reduce the intelligence gathering capabilities of the UAS. It may still be able to pro vide some location details through GPS (if known to be hovering directly over a target) or be used for payload delivery if the UAS pilot had Line of Sight (LoS). Removing GPS only I t would prohibit return to base and the use of waypoints and may confuse the UAS enough to either hover in place or immediately land depending on its set-up. If it was set up to hover in place, on loss of GPS, it may still have access to its video link and continue intelligence gathering. Inhibition of GPS frequencies could have significant fratricide effects on friendly forces. Note: Kirintec would always suggest denying both control and video links simultaneously.

11 OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE Proven results when jamming: Kirintec s Sky Net Longbow solution can reach jamming ranges of up to 9km. This is achievable with high gain omnidirectional antennas versus a UAS pilot 1km from the UAS Sky Net can achieve jamming ranges of up to 4km versus a UAS pilot 1km from the UAS with Omnidirectional antennas UNDERSTANDING ANTENNAS Omni Vs Directional Directional antennas can offer enhanced range over Omnidirectional antennas, but with a reduced sphere of coverage: Directional antenna improve range only in the aligned direction With the elevation of a UAS considered, that system may be able to observe a patrol significantly further than the patrol (without acquisition technology) can observe the UAS Using Omnidirectional antenna removes the need to identify, target and acquire UAS before aligning the directional antenna An Omnidirectional system could work in conjunction with a co-located C-RCIED system, improving performance of both systems Omnidirectional antenna also remove the issue of swarm attacks. With a bubble of protection an attack by twenty UAS or just one makes no difference. Directional antenna solutions would be swamped. Trust us to help you select the right solution Enlisting omni antenna prevents the need for soldiers to constantly monitor the sky for drones or procure expensive detection equipment. They are easy to use and remove the need of crewed over-watch while being battle field ready. To minimise the operational burden on the war-fighter, and remove the need to identify enemy UAS, Kirintec s recommendation is to select omnidirectional antennas where the jamming range is sufficient. A suite of directional-antenna could also be provided, which could be used if the UAS and enemy location is known and more range is required. Providing unique systems We can custom any Sky Net system per the identified threat.
