New Business Meeting spot work? Meeting spot work? A & B Pizza works and the next meeting date and time will be May 22nd at 7.00 pm Change to by-laws Flags Change to by-laws, don t think that the outgoing officers should have a say or a vote on incoming officers for the upcoming season. Flags for Boosters families are being checked into right now. Old prices of the flags were approximately 35.00. Any other new business? Risa brought up the issue of having a co-president affecting voting on items as a board. Since having a co-president would create an even number of votes a tie breaking vote would not be available. Sigrid agreed to step down as Co-President but will still assist Risa without a vote. Sigrid was able to find a discrepancy in our funding. The previous year we made approximately $5,000 by working concessions. Last year we made approximately $900.00. This leaves us roughly $4,100 short. Suggestions were made on what we could do in order to make up the difference. Risa brought up doing a raffle selling a limited amount of raffle tickets for a sum of money to be given away. Price of the tickets would be $10.00 apiece. Each family would be asked to try and sell 10 tickets each. This is being done to keep families from having to pay a support fee like they have to do for Hockey, Baseball Etc. More information on this will come out at a later time. A motion was made by Tammi Winbauer to do the raffle; a second was made by Steven Mayer. Discussion was brought up about possibly changing the by-laws to not allowing outgoing members to nominate in coming officers since they would not benefit from them. Risa researched the by-laws and they read that anybody can be a member of the Boosters so just because your son is graduating that does not mean you know longer can be a Booster Member. So members who are graduating sons will be able to still have a voice in who can be brought in for members of the board. There was no other discussion or new business a motion was made to adjourn by Becky Jerome and a second was made by Shawn Sanford.
