Tecco Technical background Various coatings Uncoated normal paper / copy paper Paper Paper Paper Ink reaction cannot be controlled. The inks penetrate deeply into the paper and bleed strongly (Bleeding). There is loss of sharpness and brilliance. The paper may cockle.

The surface of PE-Glossy coated paper shows a higher gloss level than similar coated products. The special coating eliminates ink strike-through. The PE-layer on the reverse of the paper is not functional. The coating is only applied to prevent curling. When no color layer has been applied to the reverse side (as shown above) it is not suitable for printing.

The brilliance is slightly less compared to PE coated papers. Due to the ink being closed in under the special layer, the drying time is very short. Depending on the type of special coating the image will be wipe fast and water resistant.
