1 Integrating RGB profiles for RAUCH LFP media in Open the Mirage Settings menu, in order to be able to work with Rauch media profiles. Click on the Add Medium... button on the bottom right of the screen Custom Media to add userdefined media.

2 Profile description: We have named the files from our profile using the following scheme, in order to simplify the selection of the correct media settings: e.g. E_SCP7000_BLF200ASGlossy_Superfein_PremGlossyPP250_PK_+25FD_+20TZ.icm Manufacturer Printer Paper name Resolution Basic medium ink extended type settings Manufacturer: E = Epson C = Canon HP = Hewlett Packard Ink: PK (PB) = Photo Black MK (MB) = Matt Black Select your printer model corresponding to the Rauch media profile you have received: With some Epson printers, only one of the two types of black ink is loaded at the same time. Photo Black (PK or PB) or Matte Black (MK or MB) can be installed in your printer. In order to ensure a printout that is free of errors and where the colour management has been handled correctly, Mirage has to know which ink is being used in your device. Select which black ink is being used here. If you select a different ink than the one that is actually installed in your printer, print error messages will occur if you attempt to print using these incorrect settings.

Hugh gloss papers for example, are not available if Matt Black has been selected, etc. Unique processing requirements apply for each medium in the printer. When you select a Base medium, the printer receives important information, e.g. about the paper thickness, in order to prevent the print head colliding with the medium and being damaged. Also, some media accept higher levels of ink application than others.

Assign a media name: Give a descriptive, unique name to the medium that you have added manually, so that later, you can easily differentiate it from the standard media. (BLF 200 AS Glossy).

Click on the Browse button that matches the resolution that the Rauch ICC profile was created for. Using the window that now opens (Windows Explorer or Macintosh Finder), you can now navigate your hard disk to where the saved ICC profile is located. Mark the corresponding ICC profile by clicking on it once and select it by clicking on the Open button. Mirage apples the selected profile automatically for all resolutions available in the case of this medium, assuming that no individual ICC profile has been assigned. We offer different ICC profiles for different print resolutions for some media. In this case, repeat the selection of the ICC profile for the other available resolutions in the same way.

5 Advanced settings Epson offers different individual special settings for media printing. For example, depending on the printer model, the colour density, the drying time for each print head movement, the paper thickness, the strength of the paper suction and many other settings can be made. As far as possible, you should avoid changing the basic settings when creating the profile. In the case of special media, e.g. Blacklight films, it does however make sense to increase the colour density and by BLF 200AS Glossy for example, to reduce it. The profile name (see above), indicates which settings are to be changed. In the case of the BLF 200 AS glossy, you should increase the colour density by 25% (+25FD) and set the drying time for each print head movement to 20 (+20TZ)
