The manufacturer of products covered by the Approval is the company KOELNER S.A., 51-416 Wrocław, ul. Kwidzyńska 6. KOELNER RAWL R-DCA wedge anchor are shown in Figure 1 Screws of anchor sleeves made by RAWL R-DCA have a thread diameter M6, M8, M10, M12, M16 or M20. Anchor body and screws are made of galvanized common, carbon steel, classified in the class of mechanical properties as minimum 5.8 according to PN-EN ISO 898-1:2001, or austenitic steel, corrosion resistant (stainless steel) with the chemical composition and mechanical properties specified for type A4 and class 50 according to PN-EN ISO 3506-1:2009. Wedge anchor made of stainless steel are marked RAWL R-DCA-A4. Washers are made of galvanized common, carbon steel, classified in the class of mechanical properties as 5 according to PN-EN ISO 898-1:1999, or corrosion resistant steel (stainless steel) with the chemical composition and mechanical properties specified for type A4 according to PN-EN ISO 3506-2:2009. The connection in the substrate succeed by hammering the tapered plug into anchor, that causing expansion of anchor s body cutted fragments and that create the permanent anchorage in the substrate. No. 92/2004, item 881), the products referred to in this Technical Approval may be marketed and used in construction works to the extent of their utility properties and purpose if the manufacturer has made an assessment of conformity, issued a national declaration of conformity with the ITB Technical Approval AT-15-7555/2011 and marked the products with a construction sign in accordance with applicable regulations. Pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure dated 11 August 2004 on ways of declaring the conformity of building products and the method of marking them with a construction sign (Polish Journal of Laws Dz. U. No. 198/2004, item. 2041), assessment of conformity of the product referred to in the Approval shall be made by the Manufacturer (or its authorized representative), with a registered office on the Polish territory, using system 1. In the case of conformity assessment system 1, the Manufacturer may issue a national declaration of conformity with a Technical Approval AT-15-7555/2011, if an accredited certification body has issued a certificate of conformity of the product based on: a) tasks of the manufacturer: - factory production control, - testing of finished products (samples) taken at the factory, conducted by the Manufacturer in accordance with the established test schedule, b) tasks of a certification body: - initial type-testing, - initial inspection of factory and factory production control,
AT-15-7555/2008 page 8/13 - continuous supervision, assessment and approval of factory production control. 5.2. Initial type-testing The initial type testing is an examination confirming the required technical and utility properties, performed before launching the product on the market. The initial type testing includes: - the design resistance of connections made using the anchors covered by the Approval - the thickness of zinc coating. The tests, which formed the basis in the approval procedure to determine the technical and use properties of products are the initial type-testing to assess conformity. 5.3. Factory production control The factory production control includes: 1. specification and testing of components and materials, 2. control and testing in the manufacturing process and testing of finished products (see 5.4), conducted by the manufacturer in accordance with the established test schedule and the rules and procedures specified in the documentation of factory production control, adjusted to the technologies of production and aimed at obtaining products of desired properties. The production control should ensure that the product complies with the ITB Technical Approval AT-15-7555/2011. The results of the production control should be systematically recorded. The records should certify that the product meets the criteria for assessing conformity. Each batch of products should be clearly identified in the test registry and trade documents. 5.4. Tests of finished products 5.4.1 Testing program. Testing program includes: - current testing, - additional testing. 5.4.2 Current testing. Current testing includes checking: - anchor body and dimensions, - zinc coating thickness (concern elements made with electro-zinc plated steel).
AT-15-7555/2008 page 9/13 5.4.3 Additional testing. Additional testing includes checking of connection characteristic resistance made with wedge anchors covered by Approval. 5.5. Frequency of tests Tests of finished products should be carried out in accordance with the established test schedule, but not less frequently than for every batch of products. The size of the batch should be specified in the documentation of factory production control. 5.6. Test methods descriptions. Tests should be made with the methods specified in par. 3 and according to the following 5.6.1. Test of the anchor body and dimensions. Dimensions should be checked with the measuring instruments, which ensure a measurement accuracy of 0.01 mm. The anchor body should be checked by comparison with the technical drawing. 5.6.2. Test of zinc coating thickness. The zinc coating thickness should be checked according to PN-EN ISO 3497:2004. 5.6.3. Test of characteristic resistance of wedge anchor. The above mentioned characteristic resistance of wedge anchors should be tested according to ETAG 001, on anchors placed in the substrate made of concrete grade C20/25 according to PN-EN 206-1:2003. Force measurements should be taken using the device with a range adjusted to the expected value of ultimate force, which allows a continuous and slow increase of force until the failure. Measurement error should not exceed 3% of the entire measuring range. 5.7. Taking samples for testing The test samples should be taken at random, according to PN-83/N-03010. 5.8. Evaluation of test results Manufactured products should be considered compliant with the requirements of this Technical Approval of ITB if all test results are positive.
