1. Attach side rails to headboard using medium bolts. Be sure plastic caps in corner brackets are facing up. A B Medium bolt x 8 C 2. Attach footboard to side rails using medium bolts. 4. Open zipper and fit slipcover down slightly over headboard, just enough to hold it in place, then position remaining slipcover loosely along side rails and footboard. 5. Working from footboard, fit slipcover snugly to corners, then remove fabric backing from velcro a little at a time and press into place along top and bottom edges of footboard. Slide slipcover down on headboard completely, then return to fit slipcover over side rails working from footboard to headboard, smoothing and attaching velcro as you go. 6. Assemble mattress frame by placing slat decks side by side with slats curving downward and flanged edges to the outsides. Secure using extra-long bolts, nuts and washers as shown. Loosely tighten in preparation for final tightening later. 7. With slats still curving downward, locate and attach headboard bar using long bolts, nuts and washers as shown. Washer x 4 I Nut x 4 Long bolt x 4 I 8. Attach footboard bar and leather handle to mattress frame using long bolts, nuts and washers as shown. Install handle with Design Within Reach facing outward and upside down. 9. With headboard bar, footboard bar and handle attached, firmly tighten nuts and bolts holding mattress frame together. 10. Flip mattress frame into position with slats curving upward, then lower into bed frame as shown. Reaching between slats, attach hinge assembly to side rails using medium bolts.
