1 Introduction The purpose of this document which is part of work package 5, is to provide a final report about activities undertaken in the project 3DComplete to raise public awareness of the project's topics and its results. These activities include dissemination dedicated to the wider public, scientific publications in journals and conferences, master thesis publications in other media fairs attended further planned activities This deliverable has strong relations to the "interim plan for use and dissemination of knowledge" (D7.1), and also to D7.2 final plan for use and dissemination of knowledge. 2 Project Logo Although a logo is no dissemination activity for itself it serves like a project branding. The 3DComplete logo has been designed and agreed by the project partners. This logo was used with all 3DComplete related documents in order to raise the recognition value of the project. 3 Project Website The project website can be found under the web address www.3dcomplete.eu. It was launched on 1st of September 2010 and was designed for two main reasons. First, in order to present the project aims and outputs to a wider public. And second, for sharing information amongst the project partners. Figure 2 shows the layout of the start screen which gives basic information about overall topics and aims of this project. Figure 2: Start Screen of 3DComplete Homepage Seite 4
The project website provides an excellent place to disseminate information to the wider public. There are the following dissemination routes on the website. Outline and objectives of the project News & Events o Meetings held o Fairs attended o Conferences attended Project partners Public material o Project leaflet downloadable o Press releases - downloadable o List of dissemination activities with downloadable documents o Videos of preliminary results The full content of the website is detailed in deliverable 5.1. Following pictures show the partners web sites providing information about the 3DComplete project and linking to the project web site www.3dcomplete.eu. Printed copies of the leaflet were distributed to the partners to be used for dissemination activities. A pdf version of this leaflet is available for download from the 3DComplete website. Additional to individual distribution of 3DComplete leaflets to interested customers, leaflets have also been distributed at following events: Robotica 2010, 17 th 19 th of November 2010, Milan, Italy Bimec 2011, 16 th 19 th of November 2011, Padua, Italy Meeting of the Spanish Network of Innovative Business Grouping (REDAEI) 2011, 22 nd of March 2011, Madrid, Spain AeroDays 2011, 30 th of March 1 st of April 2011, Madrid, Spain Robotica 2011, 16 th 19 th of November 2011, Milan, Italy Smart Frame Meeting, 26 th of June 2012, Brno, Czech Seite 10

CONTROL Fair the leading trade fair for all aspects of quality assurance. Two prototypes have been presented to the international visitors. One of them demonstrated the possibilities of using ortho-image technology. The second one demonstrated both 2.5D scanning technologies (monochrome and colour) in combination with virtual sensor technology. Especially the combination of 3D and 2D within one physical sensor attracted many visitors and was starting point for some interesting discussions about possible applications for this technology. 8 Further planned Activities Further planned Publications IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, Calibration of a Dual Laser Triangulation System using Planar Patterns British Machine Vision Conference; Planar Homographies for Image Stitching with 3D Triangulation Cameras 3D complete: Industrial inspection system based on orthophotography techniques International Journal of Comptuer Vision, Study of the performance increase in the calculation of normalised cross-correlation by means of GPU computation Further planned Dissemination Activities UNIPD has commissioned to a film maker company to produce a video about the 2.5D color scanner and the completeness inspection system developed at UNIPD to show the results of 3DComplete project. The video will be available at the beginning of March 2013. It will be posted on the IAS-Lab (UNIPD) official website and IT+Robotics web site and also in the 3dcomplete.eu website. Seite 14
