Self Portrait Recycled Materials
Your task for this homework project is to research artworks that are made from recycled materials and then create your own recycled material self portrait.

Task 1 You need to find websites which will give you information and pictures about recycled artworks and the artists who created them. Choose 2 recycled artworks, from different artists. Describe what their artwork looks like and what it is made out of. Explain where they collect their recycled materials from and how they turn these materials into artworks. Research artists that use recycled materials. Find out where they collect their recycled materials from and how they use these materials. Select a couple of examples and describe how and why the artist uses recycled materials. Describe how effective you think the artworks are. Present your findings. 1
Task 2 Think of some materials you could use. Create idea sheets. You are going to create an artwork, from recycled materials, about something you are interested in. Fill a page with images of your hobbies and interests. Write down what materials you could use in your artwork. You are going to create a recycled self portrait.
