193 TOWNSHIP OF ROSTRAVER Minutes of the Monthly Meeting March 4, 2015 Chainnan Egros called the regular monthly meeting of the Rostraver Township Board of Commissioners to order on this date at 6:00p.m. in the Rostraver Township Municipal Building. Members present were: Gary L. Litvany GaryN. Beck, Sr. Raymond Iacoboni Patrick G. Egros Attomey Gaudio, Engineer Dei Cas, and Secretary Beard were also present. Pledge of allegiance was led by President Egros with audience patiicipating. Chaitman Egros said the Board of Commissioners will be going ittto Executive Session before the conclusion of tonight's meeting. Gary N. Beck, Sr. moved there being no other additions or corrections to the minutes of the Work Sessions of November 26,2014, December 17,2014, and December 29,2014 they stand approved as read. Raymond Iacoboni COMMITTEE REPORTS: Chaitman of Public Safety, Patrick G. Egros, repmied for the month of February, 2015. Criminal Arrests 47, YTD 84; Non-Traffic Citations 8, YTD 31; Traffic Citations 25, YTD 49; Parking Tags 3, YTD 3; Written Wamings 10, YTD 16; Total Number of Incidents 748, YTD 1,529; Total Number of Miles Driven 9,459, YTD 20,476. Chainnan Egros said Collinsburg Fire Depattment responded to nineteen (19) calls for this month and twelve (12) of these calls were in Rostraver Township. Chairman of Parks and Recreation Brian L. Sokol, was not present. Commissioner Beck, Sr. reported for the month of Febtuary, 2015. Commissioner Beck, Sr. said the full allotments have been distributed to the Rostraver Cheerleaders and BV A Wrestling. Commissioner Beck, Sr. said Rostraver Baseball has received half of their allotment. Commissioner Beck, Sr. said anyone wanting to sign their child up for recreation activities can get the phone number on the website at www.rostraver.us under community information and the recreation link. Commissioner Beck, Sr. said the Recreation Commission meeting has been rescheduled from March 10, 2015 to March 17,2015 at the Municipal Building and all are welcome to attend.
194 Chairman of Roads, Streets and Equipment, Gaty N. Beck, Sr., repmied for the month of Febmary, 2015. Commissioner Beck, Sr. said the Road Depatiment has good news and bad news for the month of February. Commissioner Beck, Sr. said the bad news is the Road Department had 599.5 hours of overtime due to the f in climate weather at a cost of $23,162.74 in overtime for the month of Febmary. Commissioner Beck, Sr. said [ the YTD today for overtime is $40,879.59 and the total amount budgeted for is $56,000.00. Commissioner Beck, Sr. said the good news is we have sixteen (16) days until spring. Commissioner Beck, Sr. said the Road Depatiment use 1,200 tons of salt and 128 tons of anti-skid. Commissioner Beck, Sr. said the YDT for salt is 2,495 tons and 421 tons of anti-skid. Commissioner Beck, Sr. said the Road Depatiment did some cold patching in the Township and installed some street signs. Commissioner Beck, Sr. thanked Road Supervisor Godzak and the entire Road Department for a job well done in plowing and salting of the roads and keeping them safe for the residents and motorist that travel them. Commissioner Beck, Sr. recognized Road Department worker John Munshower and thanked him for his 35 years of service with the Township. Chairman of Health and Welfare, Gary L. Litvany, reported for the month of February, 2015. Commissioner Litvany gave a sewage report. Conunissioner Litvany said he has a repoti from Ken Lee and there are no violations at the Landfill. Commissioner Litvany gave an update on the Indian Hill water project and Mr. Fontan from the Water Authority is confident that tllis project will happen this year. Chaimtan of Budget and Finance, Raymond Iacoboni, reported for the month of February, 2015. Assets: $1,963,084.17: Revenues & Other Financing Sources: $308,021.11: Expenditures: $229,109.58: Debt Principal & Interest Payable: $0. Police Pension Fund Assets: $5,341,904.24. Township Engineer, Carl Dei Cas, reported for the month of February, 2015. Six (6) pennits were issued for the month of February, 2015. One (1) new home, one (1) garage/workshop, one (1) garage, one (1) house addition, one (1) demo, and one (1) zoning. Total construction value for the month offebmary, 2015- $225,500. Total constmction value for the year 2015- $337,363. Attomey Gaudio reported for the month of Febmary, 2015. Attomey Gaudio said he performed routine business, and assisted staff. Attomey Gaudio said he was involved with zoning, labor and litigation issues. Attorney Gaudio said he put a substantial amount of time drafting contracts, reviewing documents, and revising resolutions.
