HARSHITHA S P INTRODUCTION: According to the national crime records bureau, the total number of rape cases in India was a staggering 228650 and Delhi, the national capital accounted for 5234 of those and in 2011 according to ministry of home affairs a total of 24193 cases were reported. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Rape is notoriously under reported crime, thanks to its social stigma. A woman is raped in every 21 minutes in India and every 18 hours in Delhi. It s shameful for the whole world. The primary reason behind such shocking statistics is the society which is prejudiced against the girl child, lack of proper policing, ineffective laws, etc. While the long term solution should aim to correct the above factors. Now there is requirement of some changes. By observing such bad conditions of woman in the world we are designing and developing this project. This project has the potential to help the woman by the technologies used in it. In this project we are designing a device that can be used by woman for help in emergency situations as it can send information to family members and to near police station. METHODOLOGY: In this Project, we are designing a device which can carry by woman every time and they can use it in emergency situations to alert neighbors, send information to family member and to nearby police station. This device is also designed to generate shock waves to attack the enemy.

In emergency situations, woman can press the emergency button fitted on the device. When the button is pressed, the device will activate a buzzer to activate the public and also it will generate shock wave to attack the enemy. At the same time, the GPS receiver will receive the location information and give to the microcontroller. The microcontroller will send a message to the family member to inform about the emergency situation with location information so that they can take necessary action to help the woman. When the button is pressed, the device will activate an IR transmitter which will send IR signal. The IR receiver placed in different areas will receive the IR signal from the device and send emergency signal to the nearest police station with location information which will help the police to reach the area immediately and provide help. Also the wireless camera fixed in the device will start sending video and audio signal to the nearest police station. TV Family Member Side: GSM Mobile Working Principle: This project is working based on the RF Communication technique and GSM technology. In emergency situation woman can press the button fitted on the device to call help. When the button is pressed, the microcontroller will activate a buzzer with the help of buffer, driver and relay to alert the public. At the same time the microcontroller will activate shock wave generator to attack the enemy. When the button is pressed, the GPS receiver will receive the location information and give the information to the microcontroller. The microcontroller will send emergency message with location information to the family member via GSM modem. At the same time the microcontroller will activate an IR transmitter which will transmit IR signal. The IR receivers placed at different areas will receive the signal and the system will send an emergency help signal along with area information to the nearest police station via RF communication technique. The RF receiver at the police station will receive the signal and it will display the message on the LCD display. This will help the police to find exact location where woman need help and they can reach

as soon as possible to help. Also the wireless video camera fitted on the device will start sending video and audio signals to the nearest police station. In this project microcontroller is the heart of the project which will control all the other devices. ADVANTAGES: Help to improve safety of women. Help reduce crime against women. Help police to take immediate action against criminals. APPLICATIONS: Women can use to improve their safety. Children can use to improve their safety. HARDWARE REQUIREMENT: Microcontroller Atmel AT89C51. 16X2 LCD Display SIM300 GSM Modem RF Transmitter and Receiver. IR Transmitter and Receiver Buffer and Driver circuit Relay Buzzer
