Must know how to sew a straight seam, thread a needle, and know right side of fabric from wrong side. No machine necessary. May bring their own tools but not necessary. Day and Time: Monday, 6-9 pm. Dates: Oct. 27, Nov. 3, 10, 17, 24 Cost: $35 Description of Class: I have broken my beginning quilting into 2 parts. Part one is making blocks with squares and rectangles. 4 blocks will be made and then you will have a choice of what to make with them. You will learn how to rotary cut, sew a 1/4 seam, pressing, and other quilting skills. Private Lessons are available. Call Jean Walker at 715 224-3306 to set up lessons at a mutually available time. I can teach you how to quilt or finish quilting projects, how to sew or do a sewing project, thread your serger, or how to make a project with your serger. Classes are usually $10/hour. Use fabrics to go with the house or holiday fabric. Will learn an easy way to do the back. Front will be quilt pattern based. It will be easy and addictive. You can always use more that one pillow! Christmas Stocking Sewing level: Had Beginner 1 class or have made quilts on their own. Can rotary cut a straight edge, cut strips to the right size, sew a straight 1/4 seam, and press seams correctly. **Under 16 years old--need instructor permission. Day and Time: Wed., Nov. 5, 6-8 pm OR Thurs., Nov. 6, 10-12 noon Cost: $18--includes pattern and batting Make and take a quick and easy Christmas stocking. Price includes the pattern so you can make more than one. Kits are available if you don t want to put fabric together. Jelly Roll Race Come together with a few friends and have a great time making a quilt from baby size to twin size. This is based on the Missouri Star quilt pattern and is a great time with a few friends. All you need is a jelly roll of holiday fabric and the ability to sew fast! Take this class and they will be finished quickly and easily. You ll be surprised how fast you can make them with the serger. Sewing level: Beginner 2--must be able to cut out a pattern, sew a 5/8 seam, and press open a seam.
