1. Basic Programming 1.1 Channel Frequency Setting Channel frequency cans use only 8 channels. 1 2 3 [1] Rx frequency, Rx tone, Tx frequency and Tx tone Setting. Double click in table (see1.2). 1.2 Rx frequency, Rx tone, Tx frequency and Tx tone Setting When you had double clicked on the line related to the radio channel you need to program it ll show you in this window. 2 1 3 4 1.2.1 Rx / Tx Channel Freq >>?? <<. is the number of the channel frequency setting. 1.2.2 Rx / Tx Freq. is the Frequency setting which have range between 446.00625-446.09375 MHz (in the table). Model S5 (PMR-446) Frequency Range 446.00625 446.09375 MHz Auto channel step is set to 446.00625, 446.01875, 446.03125, 446.04375, 446.05625, 446.06875, 446.08125 and 446.09375.When select in Rx / Tx Frequency list box. And Auto Frequency when none frequency selected is set to the Low frequency of S5 (PMR-446) model s range (446.00625 MHz). 1.2.3 Rx / Tx Tone select. 1.2.3.1 None tone is Rx and Tx not use sub tone frequency modulation. 1.2.3.2 Ctcss tone has use 49 tone in analog modulation, the range is between 67.0-254.1 Hz. None Standard Ctcss tone s range is 55.0 260.0 Hz, it can change tone frequency by System option setting mode in None standard Ctcss#1-#2 case. 1.2.4 Button Active 1.2.4.1 Clear Channel Frequency button. Use to clear the frequency data which was setted or the wrong data setting. 1.2.4.2 Back Channel Frequency button. Use to call the frequency that you setting before or show the frequency in the lower channel that you were setted into the table. 1.2.4.3 Next Channel Frequency button. Use to show the frequency in the upper channel that you were setted into the table. 1.2.4.4 Setting button. This button use for setting data into the table.if there aren t Rx or Tx Frequency in text box, program will auto setting to the lowest frequency of S5 Model s band which you d selected in the first time. 1.2.4.5 Exit button. 1.3 Rx and Tx Option setting 1.3.1 Rx-IND It s Individual Tone setting in Rx mode receive only, Step set is OFF Tone1 Tone2 OFF And then use Tone1 and Tone 2 frequency by 2-Tone Setting. OFF : Rx Individual tone disable Tone1 : Rx use Individual tone1 Tone2 : Rx use Individual tone2 1.3.2 Rx-Grp It s Group tone setting in Rx mode receive only, Step set is ON OFF. ON: Rx Group tone enables OFF: Rx Group tone disable 1.3.3 Rx-SGrp. It s Super Group tone setting in Rx mode receive only, Step set is ON OFF. 1.3.4 Power It s Only Tx Power Low (L) transmits. L: Tx power Low transmit 1.3.5 Band It s Only Narrow (N) bandwidth N: Narrow band 1.3.6 Scan It s Channel scan option enable / disable, Double click to change ON OFF and OFF ON. ON: Channel scan enable OFF: Channel scan disable 1.3.7 Pri It s Channel Priority enable/disable, Double click to change ON OFF and OFF ON. It s can only one channel setting. If channel priority disable, all priority channel scan look back (1.3.8) will disable. ON: Channel Priority enables OFF: Channel Priority disables 1.3.8 LB It s Priority Channel Scan Look Back enable/disable; Double click to change ON OFF and OFF ON. It s can t set as same as channel priority (1.3.7) setting when channel priority set to enable. If channel priority disable, all of them can t setting, but if channel priority is set to enable, the Priority Channel Scan Look Back can set to enable and disable. ON: Priority Channel Scan enables. When busy channel lock use enable, can Marked Idle setting. 1.2 Tx delay is use Tx delay time when transmit. 1.3 Priority look back time. When Priority channel use enable (see 1.3.7), can setting. 1.4 Emergency Key is the function to set Enable/Disable Emergency Key. 1.5 Monitor Key is the function to set Enable/Disable Monitor Key. [2] TOT Time 2.1 TOT time use enable, can tx time out time and tot penalty setting. If TOT time use disable, tx time out time, tot penalty and tot penalty time can t setting. 2.2 TOT penalty use enable, can tot penalty time setting. [3] Power save 3.1 Power save use enable power on time, power off time and power delay time, can setting. But can t setting use disable. [4] Scan 4.1 Scan use enable scan Ch no, scan speed and scan delay, can setting. But can t setting use disable. 4.2 Operation mode is use 2 case 4.2.1 Priority channel disable, can use normal scan tx and rx only no tx select. 4.2.2 Priority channel enable, can use priority scan tx and priority only tx select. [8] Emergency call tx channel 8.1 Emergency call tx channel can use 2 case 8.1.1 Emergency call tx channel form current channel tx or 8.1.2 Emergency call tx channel form assigned channel tx. Assigned channel tx can select channel in tx channel frequency. [9] None stand ctcss#1-#2 9.1 None standard ctcss#1 and ctcss#2 ranges is 55.0 260.0 Hz. All data will set to default data setting. For model use S5 (PMR-446) the Maximum channel settings is only 8 channels for model setting. 2.3 Open Open project file will use to loading data to programming. For project file is use.bsp format only for S5 Pc Programming file 2.4 Save Save project file will use for save project file in.bsp format to save into the computer. 2.5 Print Print data will use to print Channel Frequency, System Option and 2-Tone data. The total page is 2 pages: Page 1 is Channel Frequency and Page 2 is System Option and 2-Tone data Version 1.3 Page 12
2.6 Program In this section have 2 operations: Read and Write. Read is the instruction to read data form radio for radio programming which setted in the first time. Write is the instruction to write data to radio for radio programming which setted in the first time. 1 [1] Comport setting. In the first time must click comport setting for refresh comport. 2 3 [2] Select comport to use in Read / Write program. Select the one port that the data cable was connected (auto comport if you don t had selected was COMPORT1). [3] Error comport setting. It will shown you when you have selected the comport which use in another person or program. If have some problem you can fix it yourself. * Check other program use? * Click refresh comport (see [1] Comport setting) 4 5 [4] Comport setting OK, Show comport select in status. [10] Exit Read / Write process. [11] Read / Write data process. 12 [12] Verify data. For read / write data it ll show message box. If the Read or Write data process is complete it ll show the message box in the two top picture (in red square) but if Read or Write data process isn t complete it ll shown you in message box in the two below pictures, please check you data cable and try to read or write new data radio again (follow in the information (6.)). *Note: While the processing, Read and Write buttons will be disable. 2.7. Exit Program It is the menu to exit when you click it; it ll end of process of the program and shutdown the program. Version 1.3 Page 14
