Vol. 22, No. 6 The GlenCoin News Newsletter of the Glendale Coin Club Message From Our President... The Long Beach Coin Expo is this week from June 8-10. This is the biggest and best show in the State and we are lucky to have it so close to us. If you are interested in buying or selling any coins, this show is a great place to do it with so many dealers in one place. And if you are going to the show, remember to stop by and support our Glendale Coin Club dealers in particular! Thank you again to all who made last month s meeting so great. It seemed that most enjoyed the video presentation and our first 50-50 raffle seemed to be a success as well. Overall, just over $300 was raised for the club through the various donated items auctioned at the Meetings on 2nd Friday @ 7:00pm at the La Crescenta Library 2809 Foothill Blvd. La Crescenta, CA (Meeting Room on Upper Level) CONTACT INFORMATION GCC c/o Michael Kittle P.O Box 388 Agoura Hills, CA 91376 818-451-9199 http://www.glencoin.com mike@kittlecoins.com Our 700th Meeting June 9, 2017 meeting, almost half of which was from the sale of the showcases donated by Mary Yahalom. Thanks again to all who brought items and to all who bid. I think we have a good meeting planned for this month too. Hope too see lots of you at the meeting this month. Join us for some coin fun and lots of yummy refreshments too! See you on Friday, Mike

Early Dollars of the United States By: Ed Quon June 9, 2017-7:00 pm Meeting Agenda Page 2 Announcements Upcoming Shows (see Page 6) Show & Tell Program (see below) Refreshments Raffle (see Page 3) Auction This month s program will be on the early silver dollars of the United States. At the February 2017 Long Beach Coin Expo, an amazing collection of early dollars dated 1794 to 1803 was on display, including the famous $10 million dollar coin, the 1794 Dollar graded PCGS SP66 which some numismatists believe to be the first silver dollar ever struck by the United States Mint. Please come out to the meeting and enjoy this program on earl dollars. Again, it is always great when we have programs done by our regular club members. Please let us know if you have an idea that you would like to present as a program to the club this year so that we can continue to have great presentations at our meetings! Thank you in advance!
