Welcome to Play to Win! We are so delighted that you are joining us. You ve learnt how to take an idea and make it happen in 30 days. Now the next step is to learn how to keep playing at your own pace, but continuing to ship every month, until you have made your way up to the top of that Playcheque pyramid. And that is what Play to Win is all about. It is a thriving community, a playground and training zone taking you through the 5 stages of doing what you love and making it pay until you are winning playcheques by doing what you love. A monthly cycle of playing and shipping on the last day of the month keeps you playing through the play cycle of play>reflect>adapt rinse and repeat! Video masterclasses, audio tutorials, Scanners events with special guests and interactive online sessions all with John and Selina - provide you with the lessons you were never taught at school on how to be a successful player from tapping into your true talents, to handling your Top Dog, to making money with ease. And last but not least you get to enjoy that incredible source of support, inspiration and comraderie that comes from that thriving community of like- minded players that you found made such a difference on the 30 Day Challenge. So let s get you set up and playing again this time with the long game in mind! Excited? We are! John & Selina John Williams and Selina Barker 2013 screwworkletsplay.com V1.1 Page 2 of 17

Guide to Play to Win John Williams and Selina Barker 2013 screwworkletsplay.com V1.1 Page 4 of 17

The 8 key ingredients to Play to Win 1. Your project 2. Weekly Checkin 3. Microblocking 4. Shipping something every month 5. Play Wednesday training & coaching sessions with John and Selina 6. Tutorials on tap whenever you need them 7. Help when you get stuck 8. The Community John Williams and Selina Barker 2013 screwworkletsplay.com V1.1 Page 5 of 17

1. Your project Whether you re still exploring what it is you love to do and trying different things out each month or you ve got a big long- term project in mind now, we still stick to the monthly play process of 30 day projects. This is crucial to keep you in the habit of shipping regularly, taking the time to reflect and adapt on a monthly basis and keeping up focus and momentum. This does not mean that you will be playing at the same intensity and pace you did on the 30 Day Challenge in fact we ask that you don t attempt to do that because you ll end up burning out! You must choose projects that fit into your life and the time and energy you have available to you. 2. Weekly Checkin every Sunday We do a simplified checkin process where you feedback on how you did and plan your play for the following week all in the same checkin. Frank Checkin Chief will be doing random spot checks to help hold you to account and he is a man with a serious spreadsheet addiction and will know when you ve been missing your checkins. Just saying be afraid ; ) 3. Microblocking Most of you will have discovered how powerful microblocking is (and you haven t get into it!) and we continue encouraging you to use microblocks, so that even in the busiest of weeks you are playing your project into existence. Instead of a commitment to daily microblocks of 20 minutes, we suggest you shoot for at least 20 mins twice a week every week. You ll find that your focus and energy ebbs and flows over time sometimes you ll be full steam ahead and sometimes just keeping it ticking along, but if you stick to just a couple of microblocks a week then you ll keep moving forwards and you ll be surprised how much you do move forwards even with such a small amount of time. 4. Keep shipping The fastest way to success is to keep shipping regularly, so even if you re playing a big game, you still ship something out every 30 days. It doesn t matter how John Williams and Selina Barker 2013 screwworkletsplay.com V1.1 Page 6 of 17

small the thing is that you ship, the important thing is to get into the practice of shipping regularly. The creative act is incomplete without an audience because much of the learning is to be had in the sharing. Look at anyone really successful entrepreneur or artist and they will be shipping a LOT. Shipping can be as simple as sharing something of your project with us, or better still, share something with others deliver something, put something on sale, go do a piece of work for someone even if it s for free. Show & Tell is where this happens we ll tell you about that when it comes to it. 5. Play Wednesday Masterclasses Play Wednesday is the day that we deliver to you a dose of fresh new inspiration, practical guidance and coaching taking you through a key step of the Playcheque Formula. Once a month you get John & Selina show a Masterclass on a key Play to Win topic Scanners nights with special guests broadcast live and then available to watch online whenever you want Guru Clinic with John where you get to ask questions specific to your project Live Video Coaching Session with Selina where you can come to ask for help if you ve got stuck, are struggling to get yourself motivated or just want to hang out in the party atmosphere! 6. Tutorials on tap whenever you need them We already have a rich library of tutorials, exclusive to Play to Win, that you can dip into whenever you need some practical guidance or some help getting our of a rut or a freak out. The Training Zone This is where you can come to to find a range of tutorials and masterclasses on different steps of the Playcheque Formula. It s already got a good list of tutorials in there and over the next few months this is where Selina will be spending much of her time really sparkling things up in there. John Williams and Selina Barker 2013 screwworkletsplay.com V1.1 Page 7 of 17

7. Help when you get stuck! Coaching Zone The coaching zone is the place to go whenever you hit a slump, a rut, a freak out or a Top Dog attack. There are a whole range of coaching videos to choose from and the all important Help me I m stuck! pep- talk video from Selina and the Getting Unstuck checklist. Coaching Clinic & Live Video Coaching Session with Selina every month Every month Selina will be joining you for a day to answer your questions and offer any 121 coaching over on the Coaching Clinic page. She ll also run a one hour Live Video Coaching Session where you can all get together, fire questions at her and generally join in the love in! 8. The Community! One of the most powerful things about the 30 Day Challenge is of course the community like- minded people, on a similar journey to you, who know what you re going through and are there to cheer you on through the ups and downs, just as you re there to cheer them on. The power of this can t be underestimated, particularly when you re in the early stages of your journey you need all the support and positivity you can get. The more you put in, the more you get out. I don t need to tell you this you ve just been loving up on it over on the 30DC! Well here is your chance to enjoy it as you continue you playing. Where to hang out Play to Win Checkin Sundays and Play Wednesdays are the two big days when you guys get together on the Play to Win site. On Sundays it s all about project progress and checking in on how one another is getting on and Play Wednesdays are all about the Buzz and getting involved in the discussion on there. On the days in between there is still plenty of chatting going on amongst the community so pop in and see what people are up to and let us know what you re playing on. John Williams and Selina Barker 2013 screwworkletsplay.com V1.1 Page 8 of 17

Ignition Crew! For those of you doing the Ignition programme, we ve created a group for you to hang out and discuss how you re doing on it. Now it might be a very small group to start with, we ll see how it goes and grows come and join it if you re an Igniter! http://playtowin.screwworkletsplay.com/group/theignitioncrew Facebook Our private Play to Win facebook group is new to Play to Win. We ve introduced it as a way to keep the conversation going day by day. As many people are on facebook daily anyway, it makes it easier to drop in quickly, see what s happening and give your input. Come to the facebook group to ask your fellow players quick questions or reach out for a bit of support or share a success. If you didn t get the invite, come and knock on the door over here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/playtowin.swlp/ and as soon as we see your request we ll open the door and let you in! Rule of respect Be respectful of your team mates. Don t criticise. If you disagree with what someone is doing whether it s a fellow player or one of the Play Team, find a respectful way of saying it. It s a key skill to practice for effective and harmonious collaborating! And we also ask that if you have any issue with Play to Win programme itself that you come straight to Selina or John and discuss it with us directly. It doesn t help to keep it to yourself or just talk about it amongst the community. If you come to use then we can do something about it. John Williams and Selina Barker 2013 screwworkletsplay.com V1.1 Page 9 of 17

Say hello to the team John & Selina your Play Gurus! You know enough about us two already so we won t bore you with our bios again! Now we won t be on hand every day and available for emailing like we were on the 30 Day Challenge, but you ll have plenty of opportunity to ask us your questions and shout when you get stuck or need some guidance on what to do next on the fortnightly Live Sessions Guru Clinic with John and Coaching Session/Buzz up with Selina and one or both of us will join you every week on the Play Wednesday Buzz to discuss the topic of the week so there ll be regular face time. Your own exclusive supporters We are introducing fresh into Play to Win a team of fabulous supporters to help keep you going, cheer you along, hold you to account and generally help to keep the buzz flowing in the community day to day. Introducing. Frank Mason - Checkin Chief Frank has been through the Screw Work Let s Play 2 month intensive programme, 3 30 Day Challenges and has been Community Manager on Play to Win since it started. Many of you will already know him and will have felt the power of his coaching. He will be doing random spot checks every Sunday when you checkin to help hold you to account and offer guidance where he can. John Williams and Selina Barker 2013 screwworkletsplay.com V1.1 Page 10 of 17

Julia Elmore - The Cheerleader Julia has also been on every 30 Day Challenge and along with Frank gets more thanks at the end of each 30DC than anyone else! She is the heart of every flipping 30DC we've ever had and pours the love out in ways that make people fall in love with themselves that little bit more. So she is coming to Play to Win to focus on doing just that for all of you lucky lot. You ll find Julia on facebook and the Play to Win site loving it up. Nicola Arber The Scout! Nicola (yes, this is her hugging Mr Motivator!) is a ray of sunshine if you met her at the meet- up or on the 30 Day Challenge you ll know what we mean. She is a huge fan of Screw Work Let s Play and has done Ignition and the 30 Day Challenge. Her thing is her love of finding out what people are up to and generally getting you talking about your project. Her enthusiasm and delighted curiosity at what you re up to won t fail to boost your confidence. You ll find her skipping around facebook and Play to Win. Choosing your next play project John Williams and Selina Barker 2013 screwworkletsplay.com V1.1 Page 12 of 17

Choosing your project for Play to Win! So, let s get you started and fired up ready to embark on your next Play Project. Time to reflect and adapt It s a really important part of the Play Cycle to take the time to reflect after each project before embarking on the next. That way you really get clear on what worked and what didn t work, where you were most in flow and where you found you struggled, so that in the next project you can bring in even more of the stuff you love, less of the things you didn t enjoy and add a few new ideas into the mix. #1 Reflection Exercise Over the course of the 30 Day Challenge what have you learnt about yourself? What have you learnt about what you enjoy and the ways you enjoy doing things? My 3 achievements over the course of the 30DC that I am most proud of: 1. 2. 3. My greatest challenge was: What has been your pattern when trying to follow through on your own projects before? (Eg is there a point where you lose your way?) John Williams and Selina Barker 2013 screwworkletsplay.com V1.1 Page 13 of 17

What do you need to do differently in Play To Win to have a more satisfying experience? The things that trigger my Top Dog most are: What works for me best when Top Dog barks or I hit a setback is The talents I ve been using that get me in flow and feel like play are: What I now want to do more of:...... What I now want to do less of: We encourage collaboration on projects in Play To Win both within the community and with others. So, what kind of people do you work well with? Who (or what skills) would you like to get involved in your Play To Win projects? John Williams and Selina Barker 2013 screwworkletsplay.com V1.1 Page 14 of 17

Your next play project what will it be? Where are you on the Getting Paid to Play model? You were introduced to the new Playcheque Formula on the 30DC. It is a totally new concept from John that is going into his new book. What it does is helps you to see clearly where you are on the path to getting paid to play so that you can choose a project that really suits where you are right now. Watch John s video on the Playcheque Formula http://playtowin.screwworkletsplay.com/forum/topics/theplaychequeformula PASSWORD: 30DC Whatever it is you do, wherever it is you want to get to, ALWAYS keep at the heart of it you doing something that you love. This must never be compromised. Some people think this rule applies when you re doing a pure play project but that when it comes to creating a viable business you can t be this self- indulgent. WRONG. If you want this to really work you better start being that self- indulgent! John Williams and Selina Barker 2013 screwworkletsplay.com V1.1 Page 15 of 17

Taking what you have learnt and discovered about yourself and what you love to do (and don t love to do) from your last project, and having identified where you are on the Playcheque Formula, it s time to choose what play project you ll do now to take the next step towards getting paid to play. How to choose your next project after your first 30 day project Watch these video tutorials from John on how to take what you ve learnt from your last project and move on to the next. Password: playtowin What next how to build off one project and onto the next: How to play your way to what you really want https://vimeo.com/14043900 How to fine- tune your project : https://vimeo.com/13935764 So what will your next project be? Will you take your project from the 30DC to the next level? Try winning your first play cheque? Launch a Fame Game project to get you noticed and scale up your income? Will you try a whole new focus for your next play project? Whether you re committing to one month, 3 months or a year of playing with us, we want you to keep your focus on 30 days at a time, delivering something at the end of each 30 days. This will enable you to stay focused and stay on track. The first checkin is this Sunday, so you have a week to think about what project you want to declare on that first checkin and play towards, shipping on the 30 th. In the meantime, use this week to relax, take some time out, wind down after the excitement of the 30 Day Challenge and recharge those batteries. Remember to rest between projects! John Williams and Selina Barker 2013 screwworkletsplay.com V1.1 Page 17 of 17
