Collection Scope and Content Summary This scrapbook was compiled by Laura Jackson during her time as an undergraduate at Barnard and afterwards as an alumna. The scrapbook has a narrow focus on Barnard, with no personal annotations or letters. The scrapbook contains a detailed record of her exam results, beginning with entrance exam materials and continuing through final examinations during her senior year. Highlights include a grammar-oriented 1890 English exam and the questions from Jackson s entrance exam. The scrapbook continues past Jackson s graduation, containing invitations from the college to alumnae events and articles from various newspapers about Barnard. The last section of the scrapbook contains articles about Barnard from Jackson s days as a student. The scrapbook also contains newspaper clippings about Barnard and women's education. Collection Arrangement The scrapbook is arranged in a bound volume by topic, and chronologically within each topic.
