Our Excellence, Innvatin and Leadership Jurney Building, renewing and revising ur Lng-Range Plan is a jurney that began in 2001 and cntinues t this day in the frm f Lng-Range Plan 2016-2020. T date, we have frged fur lng-range plans that have unified the faculty, staff, students, and alumni arund gals and their achievement. Frm the beginning ur plans have been: Missin and visin driven; Aligned with the strategic directin f the University; Highly participative; Outcme driven. In 2015, the University f Pittsburgh embarked n a University-wide strategic planning prcess fr 2016-2020, rganized under five pririty areas, many f which are similar t previusly-articulated Schl f Pharmacy strategic pririties. We believe that greater depth f knwledge and understanding psitively affects attitudes abut pharmacists, pharmacy-centered care, and the use and abuse f medicatins. We believe that pharmacists must successfully utilize vast and grwing amunts f health infrmatin t infrm prescribing decisins regarding individual patients and ppulatins f patients. We believe that bringing tgether expertise and perspectives frm many disciplines, including thse external t health, sparks innvatin and leads t nvel pharmacy slutins t health and health care.
