Main Activity: To have pre-cut bears and Goldilocks and an assortment of fur (bears) and (cotton/fabric) dress materials (pre-cut up). Children choose appropriate material to collage for character. CiP symbols to support choices. Structured Play: To play with Goldilocks and Three Bears puppets and Puppet show. Group Circle: To share PowerPoint of collaged pictures, objects and artefacts. Main Activity: To have a selection of 3D boxes and 2D paper for children to collage onto using a range of materials. To have a variety of fixings available glues, tapes. Children apply as they choose to covering the top or/and inside of boxes, 1 side or 2 sides of 2D paper with intermittent Structured Play: Free painting onto different paper and material e.g corrugated paper, fabric Engage with Group Circle: Engage with Interaction box songs. Main Activity: Children to listen to the 3 bears song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aihjrac-1eg Children to then sing along to the song joining in with actions and wearing props i.e. golden wig, spoons, bowls with intermittent Children to communicate their understanding using words/signs. Children to make a Little Red Hen mask by collaging assorted feathers of varying colours and lengths onto a mask with intermittent Structured Play: Assorted paper masks from the LRH to colour Adults to support when Group Circle: To share clip on you tube of feather painting art work. Children to paint independently after required. Provide choices of 2 to Main Activity: To have a selection of feathers of different sizes and an assortment of paint colours. Children make own decision as to how to use initial modelling. and distribute paint using the feather e.g. strokes, dab, up/down, dotting. Adults encourage independence and support only when needed. Structured Play: Pre-cut feather shapes cut feather edge using scissors. Engage with support when Group Circle: Engage with Interaction box songs. Engage in song activities and actions required. Main Activity: To share clips of birds moving in real life. Explore their movement using material for wings/scarves. To listen to the Birdy Song with minimal support and by copying adults. create movement to the song, record and watch back. Children to move to the Birdy Song using Little Red Hen mask and material props to create wings.

Week 3 Theme: 3 Little Pigs 18/01/15 Group 1- children: OJ Group 2- children: DA SG KP LN Group 3- children: CL DP EB Children to engage with support Children to engage with a visit to Wellingborough Museum. To explore artefacts from the past. Children to engage in trip with intermittent 2 lessons for trip Children to name the toys/items/objects using words/symbols board. Children to use tools with Group Circle: To share 3 Little pig story using pig puppets. Main Activity: To use a brown bag, upside down, and add features inc ears, snout, eyes from an assortment of fabric, materials. Children to create Big Brown Bag Pig puppets from a paper bag. To add features to Children to create puppets with minimal support following vp. the pig. Children to engage with intermittent Structured Play: Small world pigs and assorted materials, sticks, bricks, straw for pigs to play in Children to collage on top of Group Circle: To share PP of collage work using straw, sticks and bricks Children to follow adult modelling and house shaped templates. Main Activity: To have available a selection of materials used in the 3 Little Pigs Story and use them to collage the houses. Children to create vp to create houses. the Three Little Pigs Houses using sticks, straws and lego bricks with intermittent Structured Play: Play Dough: Free use of tools and dough.

Week 4 Theme: Jack and the Beanstalk 25/01/15 Group 1- children: OJ Group 2- children: DA SG KP LN Group 3- children: CL DP EB Children to match symbols to pictures of the objects we saw. Group Circle: To share photographs on IWB of our visit to the museum. Main Activity: Make a photo album of our visit to the museum. Main Activity: To use seeds of choice e.g. sunflower, pumpkin and add to a container square, cylinder to make a seed shaker. Main Activity: Children to use a variety of textured, coloured assorted materials to create a Big Weave through wire mesh fencing in the playground. Structured Play: Mini weave boards Children to begin to weave independently after initial modelling. Children to engage with support when needed. Group Circle: Share pictures of a baby, toddler, child and teenager. Match age appropriate toys to the pictures children choosing. Children to sort and match photos of toys and children at different ages choosing from 2 options. Structured Play: Toys from the past and present, toys that suit different ages. With support Group Circle: Share Sesame Street clip, showing puppets. Main Activity: Children to create a glove puppet using felt to create features and decoration with intermittent Structured Play: Free Play dough and tools Children to follow verbal instructions to create puppet. Children to paint with Group Circle: To share a clip of a large wall painting being painted. Children to paint with minimal intermittent support Main Activity: To paint onto large paper outside attached to the walls outside. Children to use paint and brushes of choice. Large paint brushes available. Children to engage with intermittent support if required Structured Play: Free painting on easel.
