The 13-room house named Walcot Fen was made of brick and later suffered from subsidence and had to be demolished by the GILBERT family around 1999. A new dwelling was built just behind the original old house that William MARRIS built in 1838. The fourth generation of the GILBERT family were still farming the 60 acres around 2000.
