You almost need a score card to know who is who, the author does provide a glossary of people places and things. The further he goes - the shorter and pricier they get. I've enjoyed Mr. Thater's story thus far, but sadly here is where I must part with him; for you see, he has become yet another "Milkman writer"... His "epic series" become nothing more than a magazine circulation which you pay ever more for, and get even less. Sorry Mr. Thater, but the gravy train ends here.should you decide to once again lower the price of your "gazettes" to price commensurate with their page numbers and content, I may reconsider subscribing again. Worthwhile read but you must read the first 4 volumes to get an perspective. Theta is less God, less mysterious, and more vulnerable in these series. Actually more human in his adventures. Highly recommended read to the first 4 volumes. I read this one in two sittings, couldn't put it down, only the late hour and sleep intervened. Parts of the plot to me are metaphorical of today's world. Through all the books in this series is an interesting take on religion and politics. All written in a way where YOU decide who the good guys and bad guys are. I'm addicted to all the characters and some new ones were introduced in this one that I like already. Great plot, high adventure and fast moving. Come on, Elves, Wizards, Knights, Trolls, Dwarves, Zombies, Vampires, a misunderstood "Satan themed" warrior/character and like I said Viking Gods and Lovecraft Gods, what more could you ask for. A MUST READ SERIES FOR FANTASY FANS. I really like Thater's writing style. He has great talent. This book I felt like the story jumped around to much, and the book ends abruptly. I thought that I had been short pages. To pay so much for a
small book that leaves me not only hanging but makes me feel unsatisfied, and a little mad that I have to pay more money just to finish what should have been an end of a chapter instead of a book.just some advise. Satisfy readers by finishing the book instead of ending abruptly.combine some books and make it worth it for your readers and they will beg for more. Glenn Thater has done it again! Every book I've read in this series has driven me to immediately buy the next one. Great characters and a fast pace to keep you going. Again another great book so far there has been a bit of everything! So without giving it away if you are a fane of myths and legend you need to read this series Every time I complete one of the books in this series I don't think it is possible for Mr. Thater to come up with more inventive twists and turns, more dire circumstances for the heroes to overcome or a way to hold my interest. This book was better than the last and I look forward to the next.
