Connecting Adaptor Plates to Titan Magnets SRB Titan Magnet Clamps The S/H Screws should not to be over tightened by use of tools so as to allow for quick and easy removal and replacement. Over tightening with tools can cause the adaptor to travel down the magnet face and indentations to be placed in the adaptor face by the S/H Screws. This also makes adaptor replacement more difficult as it then requires tools to release the tension on the S/H Screws. To remove the adaptor from the magnet the adaptor is tapped from the top so as to slide down the face of the magnet & align the S/H Screws with the large holes in the adaptor keyhole slots allowing the adaptor to be released from the S/H Screws and the magnet. Custom adaptor plates can be made to enable the Titan Magnet to be used with other Sideforms or shutters. Connecting Titan Magnets to Spartan Sideforms The Titan Magnets attach to the Spartan sideforms via adaptor plates (adaptors) designed to lock into ball lock rail strips along the rear of the Spartan Sideform. The adaptors have slotted key hole connections that go over the Socket Head (S/ H) Screws in the face of the Titan Mag- The adaptors are placed against the front face of the magnets with the larger holes in the keyhole slot lining up with the S/H Screws in the magnet face. The adaptors thus fit over the S/H Screws and against the magnet face. The adaptor is moved up the face of the magnet until the shanks of the S/H Screws in the magnet face travel to the end limit of the narrow slots in the Adaptor. Once the Screw Shanks are bottomed out in the adaptor slots the S/H Screws are finger tightened to hold the adaptor in place. Engagement The Connection and engagement of the Titan Magnet to Spartan Sideform is extremely quick and simple not involving or requiring any bolts, screws or tools. The Titan Magnet with appropriate size adaptor for sideform affixed is lowered against the rear of the sideform. The Ball Lock in the face of the adaptor is placed into the ball lock rail strip at the rear of the Sideform and magnet clamp released onto the casting bed with ball lock in the adaptor engaged in the ball lock rail strip on the sideform. The magnet handles are then lowered towards the steel casting Table / Bed to engage the magnet to the steel base. Disengagement The Titan Magnet is disengaged from the sideform after concrete has set in the mould simply by lifting up on the magnet handle. Once disengaged, continue with the upward motion holding onto the handle, lifting the magnet upwards. The adaptor attached to the magnet will come out of the ball lock rail in the rear of the sideform disengaging the magnet completely from the sideform. Quick and easy engagement and disengagement, No need for levers or bars, screws, bolts and spanners - It cannot be any more simple. Magnet Semi-Engagement Function The Titan Magnet allows for semi engagement of the magnetic load by rotating the handle partially towards the steel table i.e. rotate the handles by only 1/2 rotation. This then does not engage the full magnetic load of the magnets to the table thus enabling the magnet to be tapped by foot for fine adjustment to be made to the sideform position. No need to hit magnets or sideforms with hammers for fine adjustment. 2
SRB Titan Screw Fix Brackets Connecting Spartan Sideforms via Screw Fixing to Casting Tables / Beds Ball Lock Rail Strip The Titan Screw Fix Bracket is used to secure the Spartan (and other) sideforms to the casting table via Screw Fixing in lieu of the using magnets as the fixing method. The SRB Ball Lock Adaptor Plates (Adaptors) affix to the Titan Screw Fix Bracket in exactly the same way as they would to the Titan Magnet Clamp. The Titan Screw Fix Bracket affixes / secures to the rear of the Spartan Sideform in exactly the same fashion as does the Titan Magnet Clamp. Once the Screw Fix Bracket is engaged in the Ball Lock Rail Strip along the rear of the sideform the Screw Fix Bracket is screw fixed to the casting table via appropriate fixing screws or bolts / anchors. The Screw Fix Bracket is fully compatible and interchangeable with the Titan Magnet Clamps as are the Adaptor Plates that are common to both. The Ball Lock Rail Strip is designed to provide a Ball Lock rail connection to other shuttering and sideform such as Timber / Lumber, plywood, extruded aluminium etc. to enable quick and easy ball lock connection support by Titan Magnets or Screw Fix Brackets. The Ball Lock Rail Strip is aligned with the bottom face or edge of the sideform / shutter and screw fixed to the shutter at appropriate centres. Steel variants of the ball lock rail strip are available for bolting or tack welding to 3
SRB Spartan Composite Adjustable Sideforms Precast Sideforms / Shuttering that accommodates change of Height, Chamfer / Fillet Profile & Edge Profile. High grade structural Aluminium Alloy 5.8 m long Extrusions Come in Standard Section Heights of:- Size Colour 55 mm Charcoal 100 mm Off-White 125 mm Jade 150 mm Grey 175 mm Blue 200 mm Deep Red High Moment of Inertia for maximum support spacing Substantially lighter than traditional steel shuttering allowing for one man installation of Epoxy powder coated to minimise concrete stick and eliminates the need for mould release agent application to sideforms hence minimises concrete retarding issues Sideforms and Capping are colour coded by size for simple visual identification. Rubber Base Fillet Chamfer insert at base of sideforms minimises concrete bleed and eliminates the need for application of silicone at interface of sideform base and casting table Snap-On PVC Capping Chamfer profiles at top of sideform allow for simple, quick and easy change in chamfer profile and sideform height in 5 mm increments. PVC capping extension channels concrete spillage away from rear of sideform 4

Joining SRB Spartan Sideforms Temporary in-use Connection - Sideform Joiner Pates Permanent Connection - Sideform Joiner Sleeves The Sideform Joiner Plates are used to connect lengths of Spartan Sideforms to one another during the moulding process and then to allow for simple disengagement / separation of the two lengths on completion. The Joiner Plate is engaged by turning two large knobs to clamp the steel plates around flanges in the Connection Rail along the rear of the Spartan Sideforms. No need for Screws, bolts or tools and other equipment. The Joiner Plate is generally kept in one of the master lengths of sideforms simply by tightening the knobs when flush with the end of sideform hence no need for removal or re-insertion into the sideform. To join to another length or piece of sideform the knobs are released and the Joiner Plate is moved out of the sideform so as the middle of the adaptor is in line with the end of the sideform. The sideform being joined is then aligned and the Joiner Plate inserted into the Connection Rail in that section. Once sideforms are abutted the knobs in the Joiner Plate The Spartan Sideform have internal Rails designed to suite standard square hollow section Stainless Steel tubing. These Rails are designed to support stainless steel tubes for permanent joining of sideform lengths or pieces. Sections of stainless Steel tubing or Joiner Sleeves are inserted into one end of a sideform length or piece to be joined. The Joiner Sleeves are secured in that end via self drilling screws or pop rivets. Depression in the rear of the sideform allow for the screw & pop Rivet heads not to interfere with operation of the sideform and have a Centreline drilling line marking the drilling position. The protruding Joiner Sleeves are then inserted into the other length or piece of sideform being joined and when the sideforms are flush butted the other sideform is also secured to the Joiner Sleeves by screws or pop rivets. Sideform can thus be permanently joined to minimise 7
