PAREFEU PANEL Environmentally Sustainable Product with High Fire Rating
WHY PAREFEU PANEL Parefeu Panels is made from special fire rated minerals that have been reinforced with palm fibres and glass fibres in a bond matrix. It contains no harmful substances such as VOCs, asbestos, silica dust and formaldehyde. 4 PAREFEU PANEL- PALMECO TECHNOLOGY The process of manufacturing Parefeu Panel doesn t cause air pollution and does not consume timber to produce. This newly invented composite board has been patented in Australia, international patent classification(s) B32B27/04 (2006.01) and it has obtained the Green Label Product Certification to confirm the environmental sustainability of the product. Parefeu Panel is a unique non-combustible eco building board that has high strength and is light weight. Parefeu Panels offer a wide range of pre- finished façade solution with intricate texture any colours to any typical building s board applications. It is perfect for interior and external walls and can serve multipurpose uses. It is easy to handle, easy to work with and has good durability. Its long service life can also provide a long term cost effective solution.
5 PAREFEU PANEL- PALMECO TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS Parefeu Panels are used externally as a primary wall cladding material or as a secondary wall cladding material that is part of a ventilated façade system such as the Allface ventilated façade system. Internally Parefeu Panels are used as a cost effective wall, ceiling or floor lining material that creates safe environments tested to the highest fire rating standards.

KEY BENEFITS MOISTURE RESISTANT Parefeu Panel will remain stable and does not degrade even when in contact with constant humidity. FIRE RESISTANT Parefeu Panel has excellent fire resisting properties and has been tested to provide up to 60 minutes fire protection for steel and timber frame partitions. 8 PAREFEU PANEL- PALMECO TECHNOLOGY FAST AND EASY INSTALLATION Parefeu Panel can be installed quickly and conveniently using standard fixings and metalwork. GOOD THERMAL INSULATION Parefeu Panel can enhance thermal properties when incorporated as part of a ceiling or patition wall system. LIGHT IN WEIGHT Parefeu Panel eases the handling and installation processes and reduces the overall product cost. BIOLOGICAL&CHEMICAL RESISTANCE Parefeu Panel is resistant to mould growth, and attack by rodents, insects and most chemicals. GOOD SOUND INSULATION Parefeu Panel as part of a standard timber frame or steel stud partition will provide good sound insulation. Up to 40dB (Rw) soundproofing can be achieved using single layers of 6mm board and cavity infill insulation.
THE BETTER GREEN BUILDING BOARD 9 PAREFEU PANEL- PALMECO TECHNOLOGY
WHAT MAKES PAREFEU PANEL GREEN? Parefeu Panel requires less than half the energy to manufacture, making a much lower carbon impact on the environment. 10 PAREFEU PANEL- PALMECO TECHNOLOGY Parefeu Panel weighs less than conventional backer boards, meaning more material can be shipped per truckload, again lowering the carbon footprint. 100% of the post-industrial waste from the Parefeu Panel plant is recycled into future production runs, reducing landfill impact. Parefeu Panel contains no harmful ingredients such as formaldehyde, asbestos, or silica dust, and it will not grow mould or mildew. It contributes to a healthier indoor environment. Parefeu Panel contains no ingredients that are harmful to the planet when it is disposed. Parefeu Panel makes use of oil palm waste that otherwise would be burned, left to decay or dumped into landfills. Oil palm waste is a source of pollution if not utilised.
PAREFEU PANEL CREATES SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS FOR A SAFER, GREENER, AND WORKING FOR A BETTER FUTURE. 11 PAREFEU PANEL- PALMECO TECHNOLOGY
PAREFEU PANEL IS EASY TO WORK WITH Cutting and sawing Use a fine toothed saw. For shaped cuts use a pad, key hole or coping saw. Work smooth face up and support the board throughout. A power saw can be used with a tungsten carbide tipped blade. Always use dust extraction and wear suitable PPE. 12 PAREFEU PANEL- PALMECO TECHNOLOGY Nailing When nailing without pre-drilling, position not less than 12mm from board edge. Galvanised wire nails are recommended. Do not use lost head nails or panel nails in wet areas. Boards can also be stapled. Drilling Use a high speed power drill (not hammer type), bits should have HSS tips. When drilling, always support the back of the board to prevent break out. Screwing Use self-drilling/self-tapping screws. Screws should be located a minimum of 12 mm from board edges and 50 mm from board corners. Ribbed head screws are best for achieving a good countersink. Screws should be corrosion resistant.
Planing and sanding The edges of the boards can be planed orsmoothed with a surform, rasp or file. Use conventional glass paper for sanding. Painting Parefeu Panel can be decorated using conventional paints. Alkali resistant primers are not required. Water and oil based paints can be applied in accordance with paint manufacturer s instructions. Plastering Parefeu Panel s smooth face finish requires minimal finishing. If flushing jointing is required, use fibre mesh joint tape and standard jointing compounds. Use a wide joint skim to minimise the appearance of lines if decorated. Follow jointing compound manufacturer s recommendations at all times. 13 PAREFEU PANEL- PALMECO TECHNOLOGY Tiling Parefeu Panel can be used as tile backing board. For a desirable tiling effect, we recommend to line the whole wall with Master board with stud supports at a standard spacing of 600mm. Screwing Use self-drilling/self-tapping screws. Screws should be located a minimum of 12 mm from board edges and 50 mm from board corners. Ribbed head screws are best for achieving a good countersink. Screws should be corrosion resistant.
STORAGE & HANDLING Store Parefeu Panel in a dry, covered areas that do not allow the product to bow, or sit directly on the ground Use standard wood working equipment when trimming or cutting to size; circular saw or jig saw or a quick score and snap using a carbide blade scoring knife (depending on thickness of the board) Parefeu Panel is very comparable to handling to drywall or cement based boards without the concern for silicosis Carry boards on edge and do not drop them on their corners 14 PAREFEU PANEL- PALMECO TECHNOLOGY Store boards under cover on a flat base clear of the ground. If stored on racks, boards should be fully supported across their width at not more than 1m centres. Always lift boards off the board below. Never slide board on board or drag the stack as this could mark the surface of the lower board Store boards under cover for protection against inclement weather on a covered dry level ground away from the working areas of machinery Boards should be stacked a maximum of 800 mm high on firm level ground. If two or more pallets are stacked, the total stack height must be not more than 3500mm HEALTH & SAFETY The board is not classified as a dangerous substance and so no special provisions are required regarding the carriage and disposal of the product in a landfill. Waste can be placed in an on-site skip with other general building materials, which should be disposed of by a registered contractor.
