Thinking of Spring Table Topper Table Topper Finished Size: 16" x 16" You will need: 1/4 yard dark purple 1/4 yard dark green 1/4 yard medium purple 1/4 yard fabric of your choice for binding Cut the following: 1 ea. 4-7/8" square dark purple cut in half diagonally to create a total of 2 triangles 2 ea. 3-7/8" squares dark purple cut in half 1 ea. 4-7/8" square dark green cut in half diagonally to create a total of 2 triangles 2 ea. 3-7/8" squares dark green cut in half 2 ea. 4-7/8" squares medium purple cut in half 2 ea. 4-7/8" squares medium green cut in half 2 ea. 4-7/8" squares light purple cut in half 4 ea. 3-7/8" squares white cut in half diagonally to create a total of 8 triangles 16 ea. 1-1/2" x 6" rectangles black fabric 1/4 yard medium green 1/4 yard light purple 1/4 yard white 17" x 17" fabric of your choice for backing 17" x 17" piece of batting 2019 Suzy's Sitcom 2
Step 1: You should have a total of 16 smaller triangles, (4 dark purple, 4 dark green, and 8 white). Center the long edge of the triangle along the 6" edge of the 6" x 1-1/2" strip. With right sides together and using a 1/4" seam, sew each strip to each small triangle. Press open. Step 2: Use a ruler or straight edge to trim the edges of the 6" black strip in order to form a large triangle. These 16 triangles should now be the same size as your larger triangles. Assembly of Block Step 3: With right sides together, using a 1/4" seam, sew together blocks as shown to the left. You will create a total of (16) 4-1/2" blocks. Be sure to take the time to ensure that each block is squared to 4-1/2". 2019 Suzy's Sitcom 3
Step 4: With right sides together, using a 1/4" seam, sew the blocks together as shown to the left. Sew together rows 1-4. Step 5: With right sides together, using a 1/4" seam, sew rows 1-4 together as shown. Finish by quilting and using your favorite binding method. The finished topper will measure 16" x 16" and makes a great mug mat, place mat, wall hanging or small table topper. 2019 Suzy's Sitcom 4
Thinking of Spring Lap Quilt Size 48" x 64" You will need: 1/3 yard dark purple 1/3 yard dark green 1/3 yard medium purple 1/3 yard medium green 1/3 yard light purple 1/2 yard white 1/3 yard fabric of your choice for binding 3 yards fabric of your choice for backing batting Cut the following: 12 ea. 4-7/8" square dark purple cut in half diagonally to create a total of 24 triangles 24 ea. 3-7/8" squares dark purple cut in half diagonally to create a total of 48 triangles 12 ea. 4-7/8" square dark green cut in half diagonally to create a total of 24 triangles 24 ea. 3-7/8" squares dark green cut in half diagonally to create a total of 48 triangles 24 ea. 4-7/8" squares medium purple cut in half diagonally to create a total of 48 triangles 24 ea. 4-7/8" squares medium green cut in half diagonally to create a total of 48 triangles 24 ea. 4-7/8" squares light purple cut in half diagonally to create a total of 48 triangles 48 ea. 3-7/8" squares white cut in half diagonally to create a total of 96 triangles 192 ea. 1-1/2" x 6" rectangles black fabric Following the instructions in the table topper section of this pattern create a total of 12 blocks. Assemble as shown above. Finish with your favorite quilting and binding techniques. Want a larger quilt?
