A and B Grades: New members can nominate which grade they wish to compete in. Four first placings in B Grade (within current year) automatically move to A Grade the following year. Junior Section: Under 18 years of age. Jnr section not eligible for large print. All Grades: Each grade has an open and a set subject each month. (Please refer to your calendar for each month s subject). A maximum of THREE prints in both OPEN and SUBJECT can be entered on the competition night. Photos no larger than 5 x 7 ( 13cm x 18cm). SUBJECT can be colour or monochrome. OPEN will be as per the calendar. Large Print: One print only on the competition night. Minimum 8 x10. Maximum 16 x20 (incl. mount). Large print is open subject, monochrome or colour and is open to all grades except jnrs. All photos entered into monthly competitions must be taken within the previous 24 months. All images must be the author s own work. Photos are to be mounted and the title and author s name must be clearly written on the back of the photo. Digital Imaging : August meeting instead of Open Section. This will be of your own choice. Maximum 3-5 minutes and set to music. Images used must be the author s own work. Brian Hargraves Memorial Open: One print only, 6 x 8, that has not been exhibited/judged previously. Camera Rally: Camera Rally is usually held May. Each participant will be given a list of 12 clues and a set amount of time to take the photos (clues and media for the images are to be determined by the person hosting Camera Rally). At the completion of Camera Rally images will be printed and judging will be done by all members at the April meeting. First place receives a trophy. Second and third places will be announced at the time of judging. The next year s host will be decided at the April meeting. ALL IMAGES MUST BE TAKEN ON THE DAY OF CAMERA RALLY AND WITHIN THE TIME STIPULATED. IMAGES MUST NOT BE MANIPULATED IN ANY FORM. IMAGES MUST BE THE AUTHOR S OWN WORK. Monthly Raffle: Members will be asked to bring a raffle prize to the Christmas lunch or to the first meeting. These will then be used at each meeting.
