If you can give a couple of hours of your time for one of these date, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all who have already done this and a special thanks to Gail Lawrence for getting all the quilts we complete with the seniors, ready. She does this all year and this is a big part of the success we have with the seniors we work with. Finally, if any of our members have crochet cotton they want to get rid of, we can use it to tie the quilts the seniors work on. Trisha R. Cat bed report I am pleased to say that members have been very diligent in making and completing beds for the cages of cats and small dogs being housed at both Debec and Florenceville animal shelters for the 2017/18 quilting season. I was able to deliver a 100 beds to the DuRomin Animal shelter (Florenceville) in late March and have at least another 80 beds to deliver to the Carleton County Animal shelter (Debec) in the very near future. I thank all our members for their donations which are greatly appreciated by the staffs of both shelters. Please continue to make these beds as this is a never ending need. Trisha R. Refreshments is looking for a couple people to help at the meetings Library Report I have placed the final order for this term, five new current books! Jiffy Quick Quilts from Annie s Quilting, Walk by Jacquie Gering, Make It Take It by Krista Hennebury, Ruler Work Quilting Idea Book by Amanda Murphy and Braided Bargello by Ruth Ann Berry. They will be available at the April meeting for sign out plus the latest copy, Spring edition of Quilter s Connection! Also the website will be updated with the current list of all new books. Sixteen books were signed out at the March meeting and we have eight overdue books. Four are from November, one from January and three from February. Please have a look in case you forgot you have them and kindly return so everyone gets a chance to see the new editions! There is still a good selection of books for sale at the bargain price of $2.00 and some free magazines to pick through. I will make them available for the April meeting and will offer the visiting ladies from Houlton a free pick of their choice. See you in April, Ann

For those people who like to plan in advance (like me!!), the upcoming retreat dates are: October 24-27, 2019 October 1-4, 2020 October 21-24, 2021 Janet W and Diane S Editorial Notes Charlotte Cook Victoria Corner Sewing Machines 2282 Route 103 Victoria Corner, NB E7P 1E7 375-4396 or cell 325-8926 Mid next week, on March break, I should have in my new thread colours...all ordered, and they are on their way. About 60 new colours arriving in the Bottom Line and Isacord lines. I have had nothing but great reviews from these two lines. And happy machines! Around the first week in March should also see the arrival of some quilting stencils. I've had people asking if I was carrying them, so I've ordered a few to see how well they go. And the big news is the new Memory Craft 6700 Professional. I have had one in the shop for a couple of weeks now, and I love it!

The ivory/white tone on tones are also popular. I've had to re-order several bolts. And lots of quilt batting leaving the shop, which is great! Thanks to everyone for all your support and visits to the store. Victoria Corner Sewing Machines has been everything I had hoped it would be. I'm here most of the time, but best to call to ensure that I'm home.
