LOGO ARRANGEMENT For this logo/branding solution, the primary arrangement features the sun logo rising from the centered horizontal type for vertical design placement. The sun logo may be shown rising from outside of the page as long as the M. Pollard Photography Studio two lines of type remain linked together and centered in the same proportion to each other. This provides a more horizontal design placement 5
PROPER USAGE Here are examples of all of the available color schemes within our brand. This black and white arrangement may be used when primitive reproduction methods do not allow quality screening of the logo behind the type and printing will be done in black. This arrangement is the preferred arrangement when reproduction demands only one color- black. This is the primary arrangement to be printed on white backgrounds. When using the proper gold color value, the artwork may be reversed using the gold as the ground and white for the design. 6
IMPROPER USAGE Any variation should be avoided, including but not limited to: re-arrangement, size, rotation, and color. DO NOT rearrange the type in relationship to the logo. DO NOT stretch or distort the logo s proportions. M.POLLARD PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO DO NOT place the logo on a brightly colored background. DO NOT rotate the logo and type together. M.POLLARD DO NOT change the alignment of the type in the logo. 7
STAGING When staging the logo, such as in an article or any other situation in which text or other objects will be coming close to contact with the logo, refer to these boundaries. The boundaries ensure that the logo doesn t become cluttered and pinched. As a rule of thumb, take the approximate height of the typographic portion of the logo and use that as a margin for your layout. This method will work for any version of the logo. 8
MINIMUM SIZE The minimum size of the logo should be used only when layout space is extremely limited. Scaling below the minimum size may cause the typographic portion of the logo to be unreadable; scaling below the minimum size is not recommended. When scaling down to the desired height, be sure to maintain the original proportions of the logo. 1-5/8 9
